I love my iPhone 4. I even have it out here at my desk with me as I surf the net, even though I don't need to have it right now, as it's 3 am and I'm not exactly expecting anyone to call... but I've only had it a few weeks and I'm still in the honeymoon stage of wanting to play with it all the time. That stage lasted a good six months with my 3G, and I expect it'll last even longer with my 4.
I like Facetiming with my fiance when he's working late - we'll FT while he's in the office doing paperwork, ect - not for long, just ten or fifteen minutes, but it feels so much more personal than just a phone call. It is seriously a cool thing, even with the wifi limitation. I'm lucky to live in SF where there's lots of free wifi, so I like to think I'm not that limited.
I love the camera - photography is a hobby of mine, and even though I try to take my DSLR with me as much as possible, sometimes it's just not convenient. It's nice to have a decent camera on me all the time. Love the HD video too - it's fun
Retina display is gorgeous
battery life is fricking amazing
it's kind of hard to get bored with an iPhone cos there's always new apps coming out
in conclusion: the iPhone rocks
I'm not an Apple fangirl btw - I dislike Apple computers, and love my PC. But Apple has a way with small handheld devices - what can I say? I loved my iPod back in the day, and I love my iPhone.

I had the original iPhone then the 3g. I missed the 3gs and now have iPhone 4. I took my case off and tried to hold it in the place it said holding it would cause the signal drop. I had no signal drop. I do not have issues with mine at all. I love it and think it's the best iphone ever. It's the first time I have not felt the need to jailbreak too.
I really enjoy each of the iPhones I've purchased. From the very first one, they've all been enjoyable. I've bought each one on the day they were released, and used them until the introduction of the next new model.

It works perfectly and the proxy sensor now works as well!!!!! Ima get a case from the apple store on monday and thats it but i already had this issue solved with a case that cost $2 including packaging....fixed the problem right there...

I love the iPhone 4. No more hairline cracks and dust between the glass and the screen. Incredible design, magnificent screen and better reception. This is truly the best phone Apple made and probably the best phone for quite some time to come
Just want to throw my 2 cents in here. My 2 iPhone4s are working great. My wife and I have actually been getting better service than our old 3GS phones. There's a 1 mile stretch of road in 2 areas of our commutes where we always lost service. Those dead spots are gone. They were there the day before we got the iphone4 and are gone now so I doubt it was a new tower installation. I also LOVED the fact that I could sell each of my year old 3GS 16GB phones for over $300 EACH!!
I am, however, going to accept my free bumper with a smile. White please. I think Apple could have gotten out in front of the antenna non-issue faster and it would have saved them some headaches. Even a simple press report to say we are looking into it would have stopped some of the nonsense being posted in blogs. In this day of speculative journalism where blogs are thought of as credible, Apple must play the game and shape the story instead of letting the blogs shape it for them.

Yeah. I picked one up yesterday after the announcement. I had tested it out numerous times before, and knew that I liked it, but always wondered about what apple would do.
I just made sure that I grabbed a case and everything has been fine. Really impressed with the additions and improvements over the 3GS.

I've had my i4 since day 1 and love it!!! I've had no issues with it and still think the iphone is the best deal on the market. I've had 5 other co-workers pick 1 up as well and none of them have yet complained either. I have to agree with Steve-O yesterday that it's the few that are screaming the loudest right now and everyone has been waiting for the last couple of years to take a swipe at the top dog and are taking full advantage of it. I for one am getting tired of hearing all of the negativity, including in these forums!!!
i imported my phone from UK to sweden and i love it! Cant understad all the antenna issue hype! no problems for me, no dropped calls or data

Count me among those that is happy with their new Iphone....we upgraded 3 phones and all of us are happy....have traveled to 5 different states and have not had a signal issue....good where theres good coverage...weak where there was weak coverage....love everything else about the phone...having a great time with the Facetime feature.....got bumpers for all the phones on launch day for protection....very satisfied customer!!

I love my iPhone 4. I travel quite a bit and honestly do not have reception issues. I drop a call here and there but I did with my other iPhones (3G & 3GS). I have some proximity sensor issues, but not unbearable, plus I think apple will fix all this with software updates.....best of all though.....I get to see my son while I'm on road trips and he gets to see me via FaceTime (my wife has an iPhone 4 too). He is 10 months old and it kills me to go on work trips for a week at a time and not see him. Now with just my iPad and iPhone, I get to travel light and interact with my family at the same time. This is why I love my iphone 4....
I love mine so much I keep it in my front pocket on vibrate and constantly call myself so I get a buzz. I also sleep with it and shower with it in it's special protective plastic holder. We're just so in love. I only wish it had a larger earphone jack. MMMmmmmmm. Uh oh .... wait ... mommy's coming in my room, gotta hide it ......

They've been "testing" this thing and reporting on the opinions of antenna "experts" who haven't really tested the thing and wanted to see their names in print becuase they knew people would clamor to read an opinion bashing Apple's methods. So, he goes and shows them what real testing is about.

Not really. There are many posts in other countries discussing the number of dropped calls with the iPhone 3G/3GS.
I am very pleased with my iPhone 4 as I was with my 3GS and I've found the 4 to be even better when using the 3G service for voice. However, let's not condemn AT&T when the problem is systemic on other GSM carriers worldwide.

While I love phone and have no receptions issues, the one one thing that's a pain is the proximity sensor issue. It's a random problem and often more annoying (turning on the speaker or muting) than anything else.
If the planned fix rectifies that issue, then I will be 100% satisfied with it.

So far the experience with this phone has been much better than my 3Gs. I live on the edge of a 3G coverage area and my 3Gs would constantly switch back and forth to the point I had to turn off 3G. My iP4 is consistently on 3G at home. And I cannot believe the awesome pictures this thing takes!

Preordered two iPhone 4; got them before the official launch day...we upgraded from the 3G; and i4 is great. No dropped calls, no proximity sensor issue...I am using it without the bumper and have no issues...Love it!
I hope this thread will have more replies than the other ones complaining about the phone.
btw even with one bar, my calls are clear...

I'm on O2 in Leeds and i have never dropped a call or lost data.
i can slow the data transfer with the "death Grip"....... perhaps my grip is not deathly enough....
