Things I'm really enjoying about my iPhone 4....and I think context is important. I've upgraded from a 3G so 3GS owners may be saying "yawn."

-No reception issues: I'm on this thing 3+ hours per day, mostly voice and sms. I'm on a train 2 hours per day moving. I'm inside of old brick buildings, construction sites/trailers, underground/basements, etc. I travel 1-2 days per week so I'm in and out of my home turf often. After the recent update, my bars dropped from 5 to 3-4 for my home office as a "true" reflection of signal strength. I have mine in a Griffin Reveal bumper/case. I've had 1 dropped call in two months, and I know this because I use the "mark the spot" app religiously, having had a TON of dropped calls in similar places with my 3G. I use a headset and hand-hold both during voice calls....about even.

-Camera/Video: Night and day versus my 3G. I rarely used my 3G's camera as it took terrible pictures. These pics look fantastic by comparison. Its not my Canon 8 and 12MP gear to be sure, but it works fantastic for impromptu snapshots and the videos look great. Wind noise is pretty atrocious, but I've learned to adapt to that. I quit carrying my Flip and now leave my Canon 8MP pocket cam at home.

-Screen: Rivals my iPad, which I had thought was the best screen I'd ever seen. I still prefer the iPad for surfing/reading, but for everything else, the Retina screen just dominates. Bright, crystal clear, no yellowing, no dead pixels. Subjective, but my eyesight isn't what it used to be and I was starting to do that "look under" thing with my glasses and pulling the iPhone closer to my face to see the letters clearly. I don't have to do this with the iPhone 4. It can be read comfortably without needing my reading glasses. Amazing.

-Speed: ZOMGWTFBBQ. There were some games I couldn't even RUN on my 3G. Dungeon Hunter comes to mind (kinda like Diablo) as it took AGES for the screens to transition. These all fly now on here. Now I understand why everyone was so happy about gaming on the 3GS. This sucker is smooth as silk.

-GPS: I don't use my GPS on the iPad, too big and unwieldy for me. So my iPhone has always been my primary GPS device. This one seems far snappier and quicker to acquire my location than my 3G. I use it religiously.

This is my second iPhone 4. I had the sound issue with video's/Facetime with my first one and got a replacement 3 days after launch. Since then....absolutely zero complaints. I'm very happy and its a far superior overall experience than I had with my iPhone 1 (or 2...the Edge only one) and iPhone 3G.

I do believe that there is a design flaw in the antenna. But I also believe that the issue is blown way out of proportion. All phones are subject to antenna errors. But anyway.

Black 32gb with case on it.

Love my phone. Love the HD 720p video, wonderful screen, eAsy of use, and FaceTime rocks big time.

I love my 4 even more since I've had the phone in a bumper fof an entire week. This is without a doubt the best iPhone ever! :) Happy weekend all! Enjoy a stress free weekend with your 4. Life is great isn't it?

My phone works fine. Yes, i can take the case off and hold the corner and the bars drop, never to "no service" though. I haven't dropped any calls. The prox sensor is a little flaky, but only when holding with my shoulder. I really have no complaints. In fact, one of the best features of ith ip4 is the ability to triple-click the home button and toggle the Voice Over function. It's awesome for reading emails while driving so i dont have to take my eyes off the road.

No issues here. I use a hard candy bubble slider case and just love it. I always use a case with my iPhone. 4 is the best iPhone yet!

iPhone 4 is fine.
There are issues with every product
All this negative stuff has been way overhyped due to just how amazingly successful it is.

Wow I can block the antenna and the bars drop!!

So what?
Does it drop my calls?
Nope.

Most people, like me, are very very happy with this phone.

Apple is a victim of it's massive success.

Jobs set it straight too.

Only thing, as I have thought since day one.
The bumper should have been considered part of the phone and in every box as an optional included accessory just like earbuds, chargers and stickers.

THAT is where Apple screwed this up.
Had they done that they would have been covered and this would not be an issue.

I love the iPhone 4. It is a huge improvement over the previous generations.

The antena is FANTASTIC. I used to always drop calls on my 3G. Now almost never.

Probably the best product Apple has ever made. The screen is amazing, and so is the battery life.

I'm sorry some people are having problems with your phones. If you really don't like it, return it. Pick a different phone. There are a lot of awesome android phones out there worthy of your money.

+1 on the shoulder holding problem. I quickly found the quickest way get the proximity issue was to try to hold the phone with a shoulder for a second. It's frustrating because it's a natural motion when you if you need to do something with the hand that's holding the phone....

I love my iPhone 4, no issues at all. I'm not using it with a case or anything. All I can say is I don't know what everyone is complaining about the iPhone 4. This is the best phone I have ever had! I think one person said "the sky is falling!!" which set off everything else.

it's crazy when i think of my first computer and how much more power this little cell phone has then that did

I love my iPhone 4. No issues with the antenna, proximity sensor or anything else for that matter! Far better battery life than the 3gs, too! :D

Awesome

I have two iP4's and both are great without cases or bumpers. The only thing that will make me happier will be the forthcoming jailbreak :D

Other than experiencing the proximity sensor issue a couple of times, I frigging love this phone. Using it without a case and haven't had the dropped call issues (at least not out of the norm for AT&T).

I also think this issue is blown waaaaay out of proportion. Now I'm not saying the issue doesn't exist, because I can replicate it all the time. But I honestly have had fewer dropped calls than my 3G. I tested the phone when it had one bar (-113db), placed a call and maintained the signal for over 3 minutes. My left palm was bridging the left lower side of the phone. Take that FWIW.

happy

I´m also happy with my IP4, although I can re-create the death grip antenna BS I don´t hold my phone in that moronic way and never will. I think people who are complaining and not returning their phones are just plain stupid!

I initially upgraded from a 3G to a 3GS, but after a long order with the Apple Store priority list, I returned the 3GS today and got a 4. It's beyond great; it's literally a perfect iPhone in my eyes. I do kind of miss the rounded back of the 3GS but this device feels so solid, well built and classic that I quickly got over that. So so worth the money I paid for it- a better phone simply does not exist out there. Well done Apple!

Ps- I can't replicate the bars issue but I'm in an area with 5 bars of service everywhere so I think that's why.

loving mine despite the "death grip" which realy has improved since getting a replacement sim and my case also helps dull the issue but over all loving it. I had a 3G for 6 months so this is a welcomed upgrade for me :D

Count me in. I love my iPhone. I've had it since July 7 in case, only once when I removed the case and had the phone in my palm I noticed my bars go from 5 to 2 and the data speeds (per speedtest. net app) went down. But with a case - no problems at all no matter how I hold it, even if I squeeze it between my hands, and I haven't dropped a single call.
Now I have it without a case or bumper, but only with a decal wrap around the bezel and my signal is great too even when I hold it in the palm of my left hand.
Wi-fi is much better than on 3gs.

And you can count my husband in, too. He has an iPhone 4 and he's in Salt Lake City now where reception has never been that great, and he's very pleased with his phone, scout's honor! ;)

I'm a lefty who can easily replicate the issue.

That said, it wasn't much work to train myself to not hit the sweet spot. With that out of the way, the reception is far stronger than this phone than my 3GS. So much so I can actually make calls everywhere in my house and have yet to drop a call, which was more than 50% of the time with my prior iPhones and Razr before them.

Extremely happy with the phone. The fact that I no longer need to consider a Microcell has made it pay for itself.

This latest phone is the best Apple ever built.

Much faster that the 3Gs

Camera performance is outstanding.

Call clarity is excellent.

Performance with non-standard ( motorcycle ) blue tooth headsets is flawless.

i4 has been absolutely perfect for me. Any problems I've had have all been iOS4 related.

The RIM response about Friday was funny to me. The Blackberry storm was a steaming piece of !$!@$!!@%!%!#$%!#.

To all those that have "issues" or think they do, get a refund or get a bumper. Bunch of whiners, boo ***** hoo :p

My iPhone is great and works as advertised :apple:
