Issue with copy-paste with Safari

When I try I copy an excerpt of text from a safari page, that text is not passed to other apps.
When I press paste in another app (like Mail) what I get is a text I had previously copied. The page I was on was a listing on airbnb.
If I paste the text in the url field of safari, the correct text is pasted, unlike with any other app.

Safari doesn't know how to copy and paste properly

Lag and lag and lag.

Added swift key, selected the keyboard in various apps (Facebook, mailbox, drafts spring to mind), then at some point (presumably when the app is closed down in terms of memory?) the keyboard swaps back to the stock Apple one.

Did you drag the keyboard up to the top in settings area for keyboards to make it the default one?

Highlighting to edit in this box doesn't allow me to move the cursor to highlight everything. Jumps back to cover only one word.

Seems like that's what you'd expect--going back into the app where you left it.

No. Id expect it to default to its default position after five minutes of being out of it.

As with most apps you'd expect it to be where it was when you left it as long as its still in memory. Seems fairly normal, and as I recall worked like that in iOS 7 as well, like the other apps.

Nope. Always defaulted back to its default state. As it should. It's not an app. It's settings. Why should I have to dig myself out of a deep setting to adjust a new setting. Makes no sense.

Just played around with it for a bit on my iPad Mini that still has iOS 7.1.2 on it, and when I go back into Settings after leaving the app either for a bit or for a while longer (and doing something else) I'm taken to the same screen I was on when I left it before.
 
iPhone 5S:

Keyboard wouldn't come up in spotlight randomly, a reboot resolved (using SwiftKey, possibly the issue)

Third-party keyboard not reliably coming up. I have SwiftKey installed and enabled but it only sometimes is the keyboard to come up, most times the stock keyboard appears. Tapping the emoji button and then going back brings up SwiftKey.

Mail alert sounds seem to be random. For instance, I have one alert sound for work email, one for iCloud, and one for VIP. Sometimes the sound chosen for say work will play when a message comes into iCloud and vise versa.

Mail.App seems to lock up a lot requiring a force close.

Overall sluggishness and sometime jerky transitions.
 
To all the people complaining about the SwiftKey keyboard. It's a known issue that it disappears from time to time. Just delete all the other keyboards and you'll be fine, at least till they can get it fixed in upcoming versions.
 
OpenVPN disconnects every 5-10 minutes

And it does not reconnect automatically.

It is a iOS8 bug, as the client works fine under 7.1.2

Makes OpenVPN almost useless. :mad:
 
Another one for iPhone 5s

You can now reorder items in the 'share' menu of Safari. However, if you force close Safari and reopen, the order reverts back to whatever is default.
 
iOS 8 issues : wiped my keyboard shortcut list clean +

I have the iphone 5s and the iPad Mini with Retina Display both were updated with ios version prior to ios 8.

I did the v8 update on iphone and it wiped out my KB shortcuts, the list of 50 or so is bare. AND the carrier msg came up and asked me about updating it so I stupidly said yes, and it threw my ipad for a loop and it now has a no SIM msg, restating does nothing to help either condition. the ipad still has my kb shortcuts, so i did screen prints to save them, but afraid to update ipad until i know what other bad stuff happens, i did do backup of both devices, so i can undo the update if it comes to that.
 
iPhone 5S:

Random notifications get "Stuck" am un able to swipe up nor do they go away on their own, only way to get rid is pressing home or sleep buttons.

Sometimes unable to swipe a notification in the lock screen to take me to that certain app - just unlocks the phone.

First picture is a screenshot from my iPod. The internet login window appeared behind the app switcher somehow, just after I closed settings when I was viewing the WiFi section I believe. Second picture is a screenshot from my Retina Mini. No, grayscale IS NOT turned on. You can tell with the color in the top search bar, and the search button the keyboard. Anyway, as soon as I would start to slide down for spotlight, the home screen would turn gray, and it would turn darker and darker, and more pixellated as I kept sliding down. No idea how or why it started happening, but a reboot fixed it.

Not really bugs I can reproduce, but extremely weird behavior nonetheless.

general lag in certain apps (weather is a big one).

Sometimes the "swipe to go back" doesn't work on the Music app.

HUGE lag when pulling notification center down.

I guess just a lot of lag in my case! Lol
 
Jerky performance on my ip5 with 32gb ram. It seems like it locks up then recovers after 10 seconds when editing text.

Same here about weather app on my 5S, Very sluggish and the transitions between cities when you make them show as cards is disgusting :c...
 
When answering a call by turning on a bluetooth headset, the icon on the phone shows bluetooth while the audio remains on the phone and not the headset.

RIGHT?! I thought I was the only one!! It is VERY laggy and sluggish on that transition between the city and the card view!

Yes! This is totally driving me crazy!! Why the extra click? Also, I've noticed that Safari is loading every website much slower on my iPad at least. I have a battery drain as well on my iPhone... Went from 51 to 29% while I was in the shower.
