My iPad 2 - 32 gig model only has just over one screen of apps. Apart from those apps there is nothing else loaded on that machine. Mine is now showing 21 gig. Safari is now a right dogs dinner and battery life seems to have got worse. I really wish I had stayed with iOS 7.

This week has really shaken my faith in Apple.

Try 8.0.2 on your iPad 2 and report back. I have a friend with an iPad 2 that installed 8.0 and she said it wasn't working too well. If 8.0.2 doesn't do the trick I suggest you go back to 7.1.x while Apple is still signing that release.

----------

Has anyone had any luck with Mirroring your iDevice running 8.0 or 8.0.2 to your Apple TV? I have a 3rd Gen Apple TV running the lastest software and both my iPhone 6 Plus and 5s are running 8.0.2 but I can't get mirroring to work to my Apple TV as I did with 7.1.2. When I select mirroring from the control panel the screen appears briefly on my Apple TV and then goes away.

Just updated to iOS 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5s and this bug is still prevalent!

Not sure if it's suppose to do this or not. But every time I take a screen capture on my iPhone 5s, and send it to someone via messaging. I then view the image and I can see the current status bar overlapping the photo status bar.

Is it suppose to do that?

In the mail app I thought tapping the top of the screen would take you to the most recent email in the list. It works that way with safari and many more apps. If I am way down the list of emails I have to scroll and scroll to get to the top. I'll have to get my old phone and try it.

Tapping the status bar at the top of the screen should scroll you to the top of the screen you are in, as it does in most places and apps in iOS. Not sure why it's not working for you.

My Weather app on my 5S cannot figure out where I am, as a result, my Notification Center is not displaying the Weather info. I was running the beta for awhile, and did a Location reset today - but still no go.

My other phone, iPhone 5 seems to be doing just fine with it.

Frustrating...

My iPhone 6 plus keeps making calls on it's own. What I did notice was that it repeats the last 3 most recent outgoing calls. WTF.

Not sure if mentioned, but if you set a one-hour timer, it won't stop the sound or the vibration even though you press "Tap to Stop" or even if you unlock the phone, lock it again or go to the clock app. You have to turn on vibration in order to stop it. Weird lol.

The Apple TV update did something weird with Airplay. It seems to require bluetooth now if the ATV isn't awake.

I had the problem you described and restarting my 3rd gen ATV seemed to fix it.

Found a bug in iOS 8.0.2

I think I found another bug, this time in iOS 8.0.2 on the iPhone 6. Let me know if anyone else is having the same problem. I submitted it to Apple already. When charging the iPhone using the original apple charger, I get a notification at 99% or 100% saying that this accessory is not supported, and it stops charging (lightning bolt next to battery disappears).

Can't download apps on App Store. Purchased a 99-cent app, was told I had to verify my identity (2FA), did so, purchased the app, and it did not download, nor will the app that is presently pending update. Didn't have this issue in 8.0. Will try a restart.

... which fixed it, apparently. Go figure.

I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else since I haven't seen the issues here, but I'm seeing two issues.
1. Many of my apps are not showing up in the Background App Refresh area under Settings>General. I am mostly noticing the issue with my running apps, like Runmeter or MapMyRun. Both of these app continually pop up a message letting me know that they are currently not set to background app refresh, and will therefore not continue to track my time or distance when I'm running (I'll try to post the screen shot.) this happened both on my iPhone 5, and on my 6.
2. When typing in landscape mode, the keyboard doesn't switch back to QWERTY mode after typing a comma or period, so I have to hit the ABC button to get back to the normal keyboard.
Any help or insight would be helpful. Thank you

Ever since upgrading to iOS 8, iBooks has started to crash about 3-5 minutes after launching the app, while still syncing with iCloud. In the diagnostics & usage screen there are jetsam event logs for each crash, so it looks like a memory issue. The odd thing is that the crashes can be prevented by enabling airplane mode before launching iBooks.

iBooks was still working on my iPhone 5, but I've just replaced it with an iPhone 6 and iBooks has now started to crash on this device as well. It's pretty annoying as this renders iBooks pretty much unusable. Hope this is fixed soon, as it leaves me unable to read the books I've purchased.

My wifi sync is still not working.

This is the screen I see. Even after plugging my phone in to charge.

Post iOS 8.0 bugs here

When viewing email in mail app cannot delete email with trash icon, it will go through the animation but the mail wil pop right back up. Only way it would work was to go to inbox and swipe left, not major but strange and irritating.

Apple separated out apps that use location in the background from apps that load data in the background. The later are in the Background App Refresh setting where they always were. The former are now in the Privacy Location Services screen (set to "Always"). If an app both loads data and uses GPS in the background, it will show up in both screens.

Make sure Runmeter and MapMyRun are set to "Always" in the Locafion Service settings. If they are, they might need to be updated for iOS 8.

Anyone experiencing single click on home button opens up running apps, which you usually bring with double click?

Post iOS 8.0 bugs here

Really hope someone with a brain from Apple reads these threads.

The search in Messages to find a contact in the list of people in messages isn't working. Some do most don't.

And the Spotlight doesn't work either. Things that were searched and found easily on iOS7 can't be found on iOS8. No idea why.

settings/privacy/location services - is weather set to always?

If I play YouTube video from the app.after Locking iPhone the YouTube controls won't go away from lock screen

Signing into this forum from the forum home screen using safari keychain to auto fill pass word and now replying here when the keyboard comes up so does the auto fill password box above keyboard. Hitting done or auto fill does nothing to remove it. The first time I did it the screen/website crashed.

Edit coming back to edit this post auto fill password still shows.

Edit - going back into YouTube video after half an hour and clearing the video out of the way with a swipe removes the controls from lock screen.

Ugly look to YouTube app with it going up under the clock time and signal meters at top of screen. This really looks cheap and amaterish

Turning on off frequent locations crashes settings on iPhone 6

Typing wrongly in this forum box causes safari to lock up. It's embarrassing. I've never said that about an iOS experience. A huge letter frozen out in size in screen and nothing happening. Then it finally crashes. Good thing is the crash makes the password auto fill box disappear.

When using 3rd party keyboards, the message pane doesn't go up when you select the typing area, leaving messages behind the keyboard. That's annoying as hell.
Doing the same in Viber or WhatsApp, works flawlessly.

Anybody else with this problem?
(tested with 3 3rd party keyboards)

In iMessage if I long-press a photo, and tap more > forward; the "To:" field is missing, or better yet gets pushed out of the screens field of view.
