iOS 8.0.2 on iPhone 5 and iPad 4.
1) I change siri Location Services to "never"
2) Setting survives reboot
3) As soon as I use siri the first time, Location Services change from "never" to "while using"

I'll verify as well. Played around with siri a few days ago, she is still silly and had Location Services off. But not sure if I set off before or after siri testing. I set it off now and report back ( without using siri for this time ). Strange.
Update:
- Setting set to "never" on iPhone 5 and iPad 4. Settings survive "cold boot" ( = power & home button )
- Will wait some time now without using siri to see whether setting will change

after update with 8.02 the letters in the calendar events that I create appear really small, almost unreadable; I tried a larger text but it only has effect on the existing templates. Can anyone help?

Running 8.0.2 on iPhone 6
If you start a video and use the volume buttons, it changes to ringer and mutes the video volume. You have to scrobble back to the beginning of the video to get sound back.
When using quick type and going back to a word that was corrected, pressing the button for the original word you typed does nothing.
Only 4 reminders show in NC. I know it's not a glitch but I hate it lol
Going into landscape in safari is usually glitchy.

Massive iTunes match bug
So I'm not sure if this is releated to the fact you can't go into settings, usage and delete Music without the system crashing but...
Add a song on iTunes and it via iTunes match it syncs to your devices which is fine.
Now do the reverse, delete a song on iTunes and sync action occurs (spinning throbber in music app) but song remains.
Now I clicked the song to see if it plays meaning it was still located on the cloud and music player went bizerk. throbber was flashing on/off over and over I would assume cause it was trying to play something that wasn't on the cloud anymore.
Reboot devices and still no go, throbber flashing on/off constantly.
If someone makes this mistake and it shuffles to a deleted song, their battery will drain away
Only fix was to turn off iTunes match and then renable it.
This way deleted songs didn't re-appear on my device.

Bug in safari causing the entire top half of the screen to become unresponsive to touch where as the bottom half works perfectly fine. Only happens after a day or so of use and the only way around this is to restart the phone.

Siri is back on Location Services with setting "while using" on iPhone 5 and iPad 4. I did not use siri and I did not change something.
Privacy does not seem to be respected nowadays.
Has anyone experienced a bug where you cannot swipe up into the camera or swipe the control centre upwards from the lock screen? It's happened to me a couple of times recently and it's annoying me like you wouldn't believe.

I'm so disappointed in Apple's complete lack of software control. Maybe they shouldn't have fired Scott Forstall.
We have two 4S' and two iPad2's which are all having numerous issues with iOS 8. It's not bad hardware, not bad settings, and not needing to be set up as new. This is just buggy software!

Yes this has happened to me, though I didn't need to restart. I just unlocked the phone and it started working again when the phone was locked again.
......my iPad 2 is the same - its laggy as hell and really frustrating - especially the animations when zooming in and out of apps. You tap on an app, or folder, and the iPad just struggles to complete the 'zoom' animation without a stutter. It starts to zoom, then stutters, then zooms for a split second, then stutters, and it just goes on until the app/folder has opened - SO FRUSTRATING TO THE POINT THAT I THREW MY IPAD ONTO THE TABLE LAST NIGHT IN SHEER ANGER AT HOW ******* -ED UP THE IOS8 SOFTWARE HAS MADE MY IPAD (it worked perfectly in iOS6 - slight stuttering in iOS7) !
had that myself the other day. Hard reset fixed it. On/off device probably does the same. On /off of wifi or aeroplane mode did nothing.
Why no formal story from MacRumors on these problems?
Hey MacRumors, how about writing an article about all of the loyal Apple users who are upset about the iOS 8.0.X mess? With all of the ridiculous coverage regarding #Bendgate, it shouldn't be a hard decision to cover the very real problems that many Apple customers are having.

once yesterday iOS 8.0 - had headphones on after completing a call
once today iOS 8.0.2 - had just dialed a call
both times, sudden deafeningly loud screech electronic sounding mid to high pitch range less than a second in duration headphone volume was less than 50% at the time

Anyone else experience a bug where your phone is hooked into a Bluetooth device (Honda civic) and streaming music via Pandora or the native music app, after you wake the phone sometimes the volume icon will be stuck in the middle of the screen and at full volume. Only way to remove it is a reboot.
