This actually happens to me with the gmail app. Is this just a coincidence?

And in case it wasnt mentioned, swipe left to right to go back in Safari every time goes back twice or doesn't go back or freezes and hangs Safari on 8.1.2 with a 6+ and 2013 IPad Air.

Cannot bookmark sites. Causes a crash log event. Something to do with permissions and blacklist accessibility?

8.1.3 has totally messed with my BlueTooth connectivity in my Toyota with my iPhone6.
Now if I use any controls on the phone itself (like hanging up) it terminates the BlueTooth connection and the only way to get it back again is to turn my car off completely & back on again. Always a bit hairy at 100kmh...

iOS 8 described in one word: SLOW

It was at the point where I had received an actual blue screen crash in my iPhone 6 that it hit me. This OS just sucks. It's been something I've noticed. I haven't made any topics on it because I felt that there were already topics on it. But every time you think you've caught all the bugs, theres always something new. iOS 8 is amazingly unpredictable.

I'm not happy with iOS 8. Every day I run into an issue with the OS. And now I'm documenting the daily annoyances. To prove just how unstable the software is.

I invite anyone to post their daily annoyances here including screenshots.

Started taking screenshots a while back. This is just the last few days or so when I remember to take one. I'm on a clean install of 8.1.3. Just got my 6 Plus a little over a week ago. The other is my spare 4s, also with a DFU restore no backup install of 8.1.3.

Android 5.0 has some bugs too, but I'd say it's more stable than iOS 8 from what I experienced on my Moto X. And I've used Android 4.4/4.3/4.2/4.1/4.0/2.3/2.2/2.1 too. And BlackBerry 10. Which is pretty dang stable, but takes an ice age to boot up. Haha. Haven't used WP7/8 much other than a quick play around at the store. And iOS from 2.1.1 to 8. Not starting debate, just laying down some history. iOS 8 may not be the absolute worst, but it's annoying for sure. And a LOT of my older games (iOS 3/4) don't work anymore. Got my 2G touch for that though.

I also made a vid on YouTube, just click the picture above.

Orientation issues, this one isn't my pic, but I've had similar issues.

The copy & paste feature has been gutted and massacred. It's almost impossible to do even that.

I have complained to Apple about this before.

I can't even explain that blue screen thing. I thought that was something that could only happen on Windows.

Why does rotating your device make the navigational bars at the bottom disappear?

IOS 8.xxx is a POS on an iPad 2. Apple didnt bother to tell IP2 users that it would turn your iPad into a piece from hell. Mine is sloooooooooow causing pages to reload constantly. I have clean installed and reset which was an absolute disaster. Still trying to sign into numerous locations as it wipes all previous web settings. Cant go back to 7 and new updates to 8 make no discernible difference. Used my wife's iPad air 2 today and it ran like greased lightning.

I think this was Apple's attempt to force people to upgrade their iPads to increase sales. Expect something like this from a lot of companies just not Apple. This is/was the last time i will ever update anything at the beginning. Have always jumped on the band wagon as soon as updates were released but you can bet your bippy that wont ever happen again. Because they made my iPad almost unusable i haven't even upgraded my Macs to the latest OS. The can take IOS 8 and shove it as far as i am concerned.

A few little glitches that will no doubt be addressed in iOS 9. But I certainly wouldn't describe ios 8 as slow on my iPhone 5. Though this thread has seemingly left that topic and just moved onto yet another bug thread.

You know that apple wants to make money just like every company out there? Do you believe other companies want to make a product that lasts forever?

Wow on 8.1.3 I have none of these on my 6. Can't believe this is the state of the 6+ still.. Apple needs to step up. I thought my bugs were bad:eek:

As someone who splits their phone time about 50/50 between a Moto X (2014) and an iPhone 6: I absolutely beg to differ. Android 5.0 is horrendously buggy. For one, there's the massive memory leak that requires me to reboot my device every few hours, (and in the case of wanting to do something like a Skype call and actually do other stuff on the phone during the call without it dying, I pretty much have to reboot immediately prior to the call. This is a device with twice the RAM of the iPhone, mind you)

Then there is the totally broken silent/do not disturb mode. Android 5.0 replaces silent mode (e.g., Android's equivalent of iOS "do not disturb") with something called Priority Mode, and it just doesn't work at all. It literally works on the honor system - any app on your phone can choose to simply ignore it and send auditory/vibrating notifications regardless of whether it's on or off - the app, not the user gets to choose whether to honor the setting. Most apps (including Google's) just ignore it and bother you regardless of what you set it to. It barely matters, since the setting itself will randomly just turn itself off (especially in the middle of the night.)

There are also several ways I can make my entire phone reboot. One is to simply use Google Now to do a voice command from the lock screen, then tap the text of the command to edit it - this will freeze my entire phone every time (accompanied by a seizure-inducing rapidly flickering screen).

These issues are all supposedly fixed in the upcoming Android 5.1 release. Of course, once Google releases it, it has to be approved by both Motorola and Verizon before it will actually be available for my device. This could take months, or it could never happen; there have been two small updates already for Android 5.0 (5.0.1, 5.0.2), and the Moto X has not received either of them. At least with the iPhone, we know that the day Apple releases an update, we'll all be able to install it.

Sorry to go on a totally not-Apple-related rant; it's very tempting to see the grass as greener on the other side of the fence, but it's really not. Android's memory leak issue alone is worth then every issue I've had with iOS 8 combined…

what they want is irrelevant. they shouldn't make a product worse and they should allow a buyer to revert to the product they purchased. There would be hell to play if car manufacturers came out and made your car run worse or if they made your TV picture worse but for some reason computer makers like apple have been allowed to make products worse and people accept it.

Car manufacturers do that too. Here in Austria I'm driving a lot with taxis (yellow cabs) and they all are Mercedes E class cars. Even the 60.000€ car has so many issues after 200.000 (5 years old) that you can throw away the engine and put a new engine in or buy a new one.

I didn't said that I accept it, but it's how the world works. Or do you believe that Microsoft wants their server 2003 to run forever? No it doesn't.

I have a different experience on my iPad 2. 8.1.3 runs better than 7.1.2. Not slow by any means and no more lag than 7.1.2 in unimportant places. It's not "buttery smooth" in 100% of every nook and cranny as was neither ios 7 but I'm happy for the support.

In the music app the skip to next song universal next song symbol icon button is the universal fast forward symbol.

iOS 8 is certainly not as fast or smooth as iOS 7 on the iPad 2, but it can be perfectly usable!

Did you do a clean install or an upgrade?

clean install: check
Upgrade: check current with 8.1.3
Even reset settings after another week of constant reloading of web pages

My experience with IOS 8xxxxxx is that it is closer to unusable than perfectly usable. It works like a charm on same in house system on wife's Air 2. We gave her iPad 2 to one of our daughters and she gave it back saying she didnt have enough time to fool with it because it was too slooooooow and constantly reloaded web pages. Go figure!

Two iPad 2s on 8.1.3. Both of us think is runs better than 7.1.2. Go figure. S.O. notices small changes easily.
