If you think the bumper is too expensive, don't buy it. It's that easy. Don't buy it then complain. It's all about choice. You have a choice whether or not to buy the iPhone 4. Don't buy it then complain about it.

Any word on how well the bumper actually protects the phone from drops?

I actually thought the lip on the side was a little bit bigger than what it is. Looks to me that if you dropped it straight onto a hard surface, your glass could still break.

This does not work with the Apple dock, correct?

That's a deal breaker for me as I always use the dock when at my desk, it's such a habit to just put it in the dock.

Does not work with the dock. Like you I am hooked on docking, but trying to break it as this phone really needs the bumper. Wish they would make a dock for bumpers

What I find with not using the dock (like I am now since it hasn't arrived yet) is that the data cable either always falls behind the desk or if I pull on it more, it gets in the way and messy with the paperwork on my desk. Plus you can't just grab the phone and go, have to use two hands to disconnect it and also reconnect it. I just cant do without a dock.

Is it 100% sure that the bumper does not fit the docking stations? Are there any other suppliers whose bumpers will fit the docking stations?
