It's a hologram affect made by someone who messed up with a rotary buffer. Waxing won't fix it. You'll need to bring it to someone who knows what they are doing with a rotary buffer. It won't take them long, but it will require skill. Look for a very reputable detailer in your area.

Well damn it. Guess I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip, I don't know as much about care for the paint as I should. First car I've bought on my own so it's the first I have to maintain on my own as well - my last one I got from my parents years ago when I was in school :)

Overall, 3GS is far better with more detail but seems slightly over-exposed?

From a semi-pro photographer

I am not tooting my horn here, but other say I have a talent for photography. I will let you be the judge: www.andersonphotog.com

Anyhow, I was doing an experiment yesterday to see if the 3G S could be used as a real tool for photography. Obviously, I would not likely publish or sell, or blow up bigger than 5 X 7, but just to see what it's maximum potential would be. This was probably the best shot I got, and added a smidge of photoshop, like I do with all of the images I take with my 14.6MP DSLR.

In conclusion, at least 3X as good as the 3G. Will use it for random snapshot, which I did not do with the 3G.

well put sir, waxing is not going to fix that , those are "detailing Swirls" and you need to get them removed by a detailer

So I'm sure a lot of MacRumors people are really into photography. My question is how do I take better pictures with my phone? I took the ones of my dashboard while still. But these didn't come quite as well.

How can I improve this?

You can't. In photography, it's all about the lighting. Indoor lighting with a camera phone always sucks.
