Martinws, how many of your devices are operational? You collecting is most impressive.

Thanks.

3 Macs are completely U/S and will be replaced. Including a 128K Mac with the most weird (stacked) memory upgrade 'failure'.
7 Need a spare 'something' like a new power supply or SCSI hard drive replacement. (These are ongoing projects, though spares are so expensive these days!).
4 need a look at due to irregular instabilities possibly due to capacitor issues.
1 (the iMac G5) is currently undergoing a Capacitor replacement.

1 Newton is U/S (smashed screen)

Both Apple II Europlus need fixing (keyboard issue) and the Apple IIc needs a fixed monitor.

The rest (I believe) are still operational. For me, it's not just about collecting equipment it's running all the possible versions of the OS as well, which is why I have a lot of non-Macs in the collection. My latest software list now includes running Mac OS X 1.2 server on a B/W Power Mac G3.

My supported OS List:

10.8 (developer)
10.7
10.6 and 10.6 Server
10.5
10.4 and 10.4 Server
10.3
10.2
10.1 and 10.1 Server
10.0
10.0 (Public Beta)
Mac OS X Server 1.2
9.2
9.1
9.0
8.6
8.5
8.0
7.6
7.5
7.1
6.01
System 2?

NextStep 3.3

Solaris 10
Solaris 2.5

(Mostly via Parallels or Virtual PC).
Windows 7
Windows XP
Windows NT
Windows 98
Windows 95
Windows 3.1

Amiga DOS 3.1
Amiga DOS 2
Amiga DOS 1.3

GEM - Atari

QDOS - JM ROM

Spectrum

My collection seems small now,

3 WORKING eMacs (800MHz ATI 128 MB RAM)
2 Gigabit Ethernet G4s (1 stock dual 450, 512MB RAM, and one 1GHZ and 512MB RAM)
Too many ipod shuffles (i won about 10 of them over the years)
1 second gen iPod touch, Jailbroken 4.2.1

1 Emac case, currently being turned into a costume (Machead) (the CRT wasnt working, and it wasnt price efficent to fix)

For me, it's not just about collecting equipment it's running all the possible versions of the OS as well, which is why I have a lot of non-Macs in the collection.

Great collection! I have to ask though - why no IRIX? Few platforms have a community as strong as forums.nekochan.net, and the hardware has such varied personality - SGI is a great place to collect within.

Although all early 90's UNIX systems are of interest to me, SGI IRIX is one system I've never really used in the past, so it's priority in having one is low for me. I've come across a couple over the years but passed them on since they required a level of fixing/software I could provide.

Still, if a healthy one + software came my way I'd certainly add it to my collection, along with these I'd love to own but don't expect to ever see again:

Amiga A3000/UX running Open Windows.
A system running an old version of DEC Windows.
Sun ELC or portable/luggable.

Ok here's what I got
MacBook Air 2011
White MacBook 2007
Ipad 2 16gb Wifi Black
iPhone 4 16gb ATT
iPod Classic 160gb 2009
iPod Second Gen 20gb
iPod Nano Sixth Gen 8gb
Performa 575 running OS7 don't remember what version (still runs)

Bonus pic taken with mom's iPhone 3GS lol

martinws, Why No CX?

martinws, I couldn't help but notice that you do not have one of the most popular and best machines: the CX.

I chucked mine out of course, but I still have a 6040 Rocket accellerator which went in the II CX. Wow that was a blast, and rock steady

... oops perhaps I have it ... I might just have chucked it out (boy it hurts doing that, but my wife loves it... heck ...

I do regret throwing out a IIx. That thing was beautiful.

I also chucked a Newton.

The only Macs i have left are from my own use of course ...

- a silver door twin processor powermac - the noisy one. Yes, it was noisty too.

- some powerbooks -
- 5300CS
- G3
- G4 Titanium 400 (still looks compact)
- White macbook core duo with 4MP and 160GB drive I think (2.3 Mhz I think) - good machine because apple replaced the motherboard after a HUGE fight, its LED inside the earphone jack had failed, stopping the sound
- gen i iPad
- 2 x gen 3 iPads
- powermac 13" 2011 with 128GB SSD minimum spec i5 (nice thing still)
- White 2006/7 24" 2.16 Mhz 2MP RAM 250 GB HD - Internal HD is gone, runs of external USB-3 drive, of the USB-2 port, has new power supply, Apple installed, only cost $133 to do that! Not sure how many keyboards its worn out. About 3 mice at least

- Waiting to buy a 2012 large screen iMac but Apple have decided they don't want to make one. Any suggestions what to do? Thought about a 2800 Quad 2008 Powermac, but they are slower than iMacs these days, let alone a powerbook pro Retina. Hmmm

Ooh ... lots of iPhones and stuff, but they don't count IMO!!

Gotta a whole lot of SCSI external drives and great big thick cables too ... I doubt their going to last long ... I may chuck all the Powerbooks too, and the powermac. Makes me sad actually ...

All these collections are really really great. Awesome how people have a way of life with Apple.

Although I have to say, I am only 21 years old, from the Netherlands (a country where iDevices are really expensive). I always wanted to have a Apple collection, but in my country it is hard to find these collections and all the major parts of collections are in the US what means a collectors item will be very very expensive when I have it finally here.
