Mind the bad quality..this is all I have right now that is Apple related.

I know, it's not much. No Mac either (or at least, yet), but there will be in due time. :)

No where close

I almost have the volume of apple computers you have , but no where near the amount of packaging and memorabilia at all. Good going I am jealous.

While I wouldn't call this a collection, for some reason today I decided to take an inventory of all Apple products I have ever owned in a sort of visual timeline. Not sure why I did this. but here you go

All Peripherals went on a separate slide:

And of course a chart for you chart lovers out there (only includes main product line):

Nice ^^

What happens if you have two of the same product? :p

Some of them have overlapped a bit, mostly because I purchased the upgrade on a whim and then sold the old one afterwards. Or in the case of the Time Capsule and first Mac mini, I decided to play doctor and see what's really on insides of these things. I'm afraid they didn't make it out of surgery.

I'll be buying an Apple TV, iPad fourth generation and I'm getting an iPhone 4 next year. :p Perhaps I should do a timeline? :p

Too much to type, so I'll sum up with a few pics:

You're missing something--the all-in-one Power Macintosh G3! ; )

And here is a list of my Macintosh computers. They're mostly old junk I've pieced together from stuff people threw out. I've nicknamed them the "Macintrashes". ;)

Orange iMac G3 (400/1GB, Mac OS 9.2)
Snow iMac G3 (600/1GB, Mac OS 9.2)
Power Macintosh G3 (233/384MB, Mac OS 9.2)
Macintosh SE (4MB/20MB HDD, System 6)
Macintosh SE FDHD (4MB, 40MB HDD, System 7.1)
Macintosh SE/30 (32MB RAM, 500MB HDD, System 7.5)
iMac G4 (1Ghz/1GB, Mac OS 10.4)

To be honest, I use the SE's the most out of all of them. Probably because I can get just about any piece of software for them for free. They're great for just about anything that's not on the Internet, from making Word documents to playing Pacman to making mug shots.

Not nearly as impressive as many here, but I've got my own little set...(Past and present)

Apple IIc
Macintosh Classic
iMac G3 Rev. A
iMac G3 Rev. C
iBook G3 (Clamshell, 300 MHz)
iBook G3 12" (White, 800 MHz)
iBook G4 12" 1.07 GHz
iBook G4 12" 1.33 GHz
eMac 1.42 GHz
Mac mini CD 1.83 GHz

iPod 4G 20 GB
iPod Photo 40 GB
iPod 5G (Video) 30 GB
iPod mini 2G 4GB
iPod Shuffle 1G 512 MB (2)
iPod Shuffle 1G 1 GB
iPod Shuffle 2G 4 GB
iPod nano 1G 2 GB
iPod nano 2G 2 GB
iPod nano 3G 8 GB
iPod nano 6G 16 GB
iPod Touch 1G 8 GB

iPhone 3GS 16 GB (I think)

Plus lots of different monitors, keyboards and mice (mouses? Whatever.)

I don't really collect these things anymore, so this is probably about as large as my collection will become.

Do a lot of you guys have set ups like what is pictured above where they are sitting on shelves displayed? Or are they just sitting in a closet somewhere and you just get them out every now and then and mess with them?

For me it's half and half.

I have a few machines out 'on display' (some ready to go at a moment's notice, some unplugged,) plus a bunch in a storage area that I rotate in and out to use.

I've got most of mine set up on tables, where I still use them to this day.

Damn! How do you people get all of these Macs???

95% of my collection represents a combination of dumb luck and timing. I recently obtained a Revision-A IIe that looks like it left the factory yesterday. Never seen one in that condition, and probably never will again.

That said, the collecting game has changed a lot and not necessarily for the better. It used to be that sourcing items was a lot harder but finding bargains was the rule rather than the exception. The meteoric rise of Apple in the last decade coupled with Steve's death means that everyone is selling their old Apple stuff, and usually commanding ridiculous prices for them. Sometimes it's worth it, usually it isn't.
