I’ll play too. Got my first Apple Watch in March of last year, and have gotten a perfect month every month since. Here is Month 11:

How do we know you don’t have your exercise and move goals crazy low? I have my move goal at 1,000 and exercise goal at 75 minutes. I always close the stand goal...pretty consistently close the other 2.

I was just with a friend and his dinged telling him he’d accomplished his goal. It was 10:30 in the morning and I know he hadn’t been to the gym. We were in the pool with the kids and he was waving his arms in the water while sitting on a pool noodle. Watch didn’t realize he is buoyant in water AND he had his move goal set to 240 calories! Weak sauce.

You don't.

Mine is reasonable, at 340, but I have a desk job and kids. I can hit the goal on an average day, but I have to plan in the hour of activity to get 30 minutes of exercise. If I recall correctly, Julien typically lifts weights and then runs 3-7 miles daily, and posts pictures from his runs. My guess is that his is between 700-1000 as well.

Yeah man, it’s hard! I have 4 kids and a desk job too. Standing desk and lots of pacing while on calls. Brutal.

Agreed. Having a standing desk has actually made things easier for me. When i sit for lunch, everything has seized up by the time I'm done. I plan three walks around our building during the day, and then walk at least 30 minutes each night so my dog gets outside time.

I read that and thought that maybe this was a recent change! It is frustrating you can't change it.

I do see them as goals rather than something I would just always complete with my normal lifestyle. Surely the point is that is pushes you to do more exercise than you would otherwise do.

I have move set to 720 and hit it probably 5 or 6 days out of 7. There has been occasions where I have run the extra km or gone for a late night walk to close them out.

You guys are right! I could have sworn I changed it years ago when I set it up, but apparently I didn’t! As you can see I don’t ALWAYS close them all, but I always get the blue one and get the others ~5 days per week. It’s the pink one that is hardest to get.

You’re a beast Julien

That's crazy. Well done!

Yea I may be partially crazy. I have spreadsheets of every cardio workout since Jun 2004. Keep up with ever calorie consumed for about 10 years and switched to MyFitnessPal about 4 years ago (1350 days). Weight and body fat for about 15 years.

That's serious dedication. I have spreadsheets of other things (I started tracking car mileage in 2005, and expenses in '98), but when I started running in June of 2013, Runkeeper tracked everything for me, so i didn't have to.

Or serious obsession. Who the heck needs workout data from over 14 years ago?? Unless you have a serious medical condition and NEED to keep track of every workout then I can't see a possible scenario where you would ever need to re-visit 14 year old data...
