My main rig; uMBP 17 2.66
Replaced my macpro

so far so good...the capacity has been getting better and I can tell the battery life has been excellent..it gets well around 8hours on the optimal settings.

Here is the work machine (the more mobile of the two)

15" uMBP 2.4

this gets around 5 or so hours of battery life..pretty nice for a 15"
this has been probably one of the nicest notebooks ive used...next to the 17" which itself is incredible.

i fluctuate between charging and draining.
im not too worried about cycle counts as much as iam keeping the capacity healthy and having good overall battery life.

I guess im doing well - unibody macbook bought on the day of release (was it Oct last year? I honestly cant remember!)

222 cycles
98% health

I've used my early '08 MBP for about 5 months now, here's the stats:

According to iStat:
35 cycles
94% health

According to Coconut:
35 cycles
93% health
5166 mAh out of 5500 mAh

Are these stats about avg. or should I be concerned?

i'm taking my penryn macbook pro to the apple store in a few minutes to see if I can get my battery replaced.

4471 mAh current capacity
5600 mAh original capacity
79% health
173 loadcycles

13 months age

My machine is desk bound alot but I calibrate every 1st of the month.

Mine has 330 cycles and has now dropped to 4% health. At about 260 cycles the battery health was at 100% Looks like ill need to buy a new battery although i dont really have the money for one. A new battery in South Africa costs over $200 US.

I'm worried mine might not retain the 80% capacity by the time it gets to 300 cycles.

Does anyone think i have a case if i go to the Apple Store to complain?

UM, when it goes under 80, then take it in to get a new one. But make sure and calibrate

Guess it was worse than expected. When I shutdown my machine before going to the store, I was at 79%. We restarted and opened coconutbattery...76%. Their little battery testing tool they use on the bench had "fail" written all over it. Honestly I expected to get turned around but I guess my fears had a basis. 10 minutes and I was out of there with a new battery.

If you have had this thing 4 months you should be well beyond 5 load cycles. You might want to think about fully draining your MBP more often to ensure long life. It is said conditioning it is better than always on the charger.

The coconut battery is a bit off that battery and computer are from Early March.

its doing pretty well the capacity has gone up and a noticable difference in time off the charger as it fluctuates between charging... i dont generally drain it to zero everytime off the charger.
it goes down to about 80% and thats about an hour and a half i believe.
I do one complete cycle each month

Is this a decent health? I've had my MacBook for two years now.

My battery was in the high 90 percents until I actually used my portable computer as a portable computer  for school. Now this...

It's not totally bad, but not I'm not getting the 4 hours anymore, more like 2:45 battery life :(

3 y/o MB, 390 cycles, 100% health \o/!

6 month old UMBP, 82 cycles, 100% health.

I just got a new battery on the 10th of May because I basically killed my old battery and it turned out to be a bad one anyway.

I don't understand how I've used so many cycles already :(
Also, I just set my battery for optimal battery and it went from 3.5 hours down to 2 hours?! And now it's back up to 3 hours. grr
Maybe I just spend too much time on my laptop :p
