Out of curiosity I reconfigured a system today with the same configuration, 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 320GB @ 7200 to see what kind of delivery estimates it would give me for an order placed today. It says it will be delivered sooner then my order that I placed last Wednesday. It said Oct 31- Nov 6th. I was quoted Nov 3 - 10th. This is interesting....

They might have moved up production coz I ordered my system on Oct. 21, it said that it would ship in 7-10 business days, but it shipped on Oct. 27th which is not even 7 business days even if you factor in that it was Monday in China. So it was more like 6 days after I ordered it including non-business days.
I would guess they moved everyone's order up in date.
I hope you are right! If that is the case.. mine should be prepared for shipment and ship any day now. (ordered less then a day after you) *crosses fingers*
I appear to be on the same shipment as both of you... except my status is still at "Arrived at FedEx location".
Fingers crossed they arrive sooner than the Oct 30th estimate!

My guess is that they will. FedEx is usually pretty generous on their estimates. If they're in Alaska, I don't see why they couldn't be here by Wednesday.

I ordered mine (7200 rpm 320 GB 2.8 GHz) on the 17th and it is still "not yet shipped"...
Did you order 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 320GB @ 7200? If so, you ordered 4 days after me but were lucky and got it way earlier.
It was my understanding that the high-speed 320 GB drives are what's holding up the orders. Maybe you have a different drive?

Yep, Apple emails you when it's shipped. They will give you a tracking number as well.
You can be like me and uiop...hitting the refresh button every couple of minutes. I know it doesn't help but i am so anxious to get the thing in my hands!
Wow that is awful... I sure hope both of ours ship soon. Where is yours shipping to? and what was your delivery dates? Mine is Nov 3 - Nov 7.
