I was lazy this morning, so while still in bed, I started an outdoor walk, then over the next half an hour, I walked to the kitchen and made a coffee before heading across the room to the couch and watch TV. I ended up doing a 49 minute walk, saved it and earned my badge.

A well spent morning (btw, it was good coffee).

Well it's never hard to cheat if that's your aim, but isn't really any fun to have the achievement medal if you didn't do the walk

Got it!

My watch is currently in for repair so I can't get my exercise in for the badge. Are any third party apps capable of writing exercise data using the phone to measure instead of the watch? I'd like to get the achievement if possible!

Got mine this morning, 3/4 brisk round trip walk to get bacon for lunch ;)

Between 'closing the rings', achievement badges and Audible audiobooks, I'm walking 2 1/2 miles a day every lunchtime. For someone who just plain didn't exercise beforehand, the :apple: Watch has been both incentive and reward for the daily walking I do since I bought it.

Ran three ultramarathons before 10am naked through Death Valley without sunscreen.

...

Just kidding! Four mile walk in 40 degree temps and rain while listening to AC/DC and dressed like B. Belichick at a snowy Jets game. Got the badge, got 'er done.

For those trapped in bad weather, apparently an outdoor activity is not required. I had some time earlier, so I jumped on the treadmill to see if it would work, and voila, it does.

30 minutes indoor walk.

Apparently only select workouts work as could be suspected from
announcement wording. Just did a one-hour Other-Trekking workout and didn't earn the badge. Good thing I still had some walking to do today (9 hours left)

Actually if you need the incentive of a badge to go for a walk, you sir a the bigger fool. For myself, I do enjoy one day off from the exercise regimen and it happens to be yesterday.

Also feel free to search for my post from a 20000kj (5000 Cal) day. I'm sure you'll give me a badge for that.

I don't have one. I exercised but never got the badge. It's only US and Europe only?

I haven't received a badge yet, but I completed the 30 min. Where would the badges show up?

Compleated my rings but no earth day metal.

The badge is awarded for a workout that is longer than 30 minutes. It doesn't actually require you to achieve 30 minutes of activity. As I had mentioned above, I got my badge sitting on the couch.

Was driving half the day and went to a water park for seven hours without my watch. Almost had a heart attack when I realized I would probably loose my 200 day streak. Drova back and had to get **** done, 6 km 30 min run right before bed. Haven't felt my asthma in years but yesterday I did.

Got the medal and calories done. Lost my perfect stand hours by one measly hour.
