I've ordered and have been waiting forever for this bag to show up, http://www.tucanousa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=BFITXS

Small bag that should hold charger etc while not much bigger than the 11" MBA.
And it has a strap.
I really like this bag...I just wish they would wake one for the 13 inch.:(

There's a reason for that. If they turn the laptop opening around, see that pen there... there'd be a big scratch.

Fair point - but as it is now you have to open the case all the way to take out the MBA; a simple flap would have solved the issue and allowed for far better accessibility .

And I question the wisdom of putting other items inside a (semi-) hardcase to begin with, padding or no padding .

Would love this case - but its $81! Might as well have gotten the MBA ultimate!

This fits perfect with the late 2010 version... In small print there stand fits for MacBook Air.

It have a bag in front for a USB drive and the power supply...

Pack & Smooch indeed

I ordered one of these last night for my 11" Air direct from Pack & Smooch. ~$71 with shipping from Germany. I think it'll be perfect since it can either work stand-alone (the pocket looks roomy enough for my mouse, phone and a couple of cables) or be slipped into the laptop section of my bag. We'll see! I'll post back here when it arrives.

I ordered the same pack & smooch case about a month ago for my 11" MBA and I can't tell you how happy I am with the purchase. Well worth the money! The case is very well made and looks and feels great. It offers good protection for the laptop and I think the pocket is extremely convenient (although I wish it was a little deeper). BTW, it cost me $81 shipped from Germany to USA (more $$ then I was planning on spending, but hey you get what you pay for)!

I tried to order it from pack & smooch directly ($71), but for some reason I couldn't complete the order. I reached out to customer service and they told me to order it through etsy.com ($81) if I couldn't complete the purchase on their website. So I paid the extra $10!

Pics or it didn't happen! :p Does the wool break down like felt? Do you get furballs? How has the case held up?

Please let me know when you get it if it will hold the 11" Air and the ipad with the Apple case on it. I have the 10" version that I picked up at Fry's and it holds both fine, except when you put the Apple case on the ipad, the fit is too snug to pull either out easily.

I'll have to go home and take some pictures. As far as the durability of it, so far so good! (only a couple weeks of use though) It hasn't warn down at all and no fur balls. The case is very well made and seems to be very durable. The wool is strong and the leather on the bottom is very soft and plush. I don't have any complaints. IMO it's the best looking case available.

Are you in the US? How long did it take to get to you from Germany?

For the girls...and girly guys:

Janine King Designs

Nice-looking handmade case, high quality strap, outside pocket for cables/USB/drive/etc, zipper won't scratch. In many pretty colors! Lightweight. I just picked one of these up, returning my sleeve.

Yes, I am sure. I preordered in November, and when I did the website said they were in production and would ship by December 15th. And it did! Obviously they have a backlog of orders now.

In response to the above comment about it not having a strap, I agree with the others that this is a case, not a bag. I have a shoulder bag from STM which I carry everywhere, and this case will go inside it. I really don't want another bag.

Quoting myself here, but my Viper hardcase from booq arrived yesterday. It's absolutely stunning and very tough. The hard shell has a rubberised spine like a bumper, and the Macbook fits very tightly inside. If I can find a camera today I'll take some pictures and post them.

I'm not sure what can fit in the pockets inside the case, as the whole thing is quite thin. Possibly the power adaptor, but as I said before I'd need to take the plug off.

Pictures !! ;)

Pictures !! ;)

Okay - first a warning. I don't have a camera, so am using a Nokia mobile phone. These pictures are horrible and don't show the case to its best.

However:

This case is excellent. It is the same hard ballistic nylon, or whatever they call it, that Hard Candy use for their hard cases. I have a Hard Candy bubble case for my iPad and the material is identical.

The Viper is very slim and the Macbook Air fits very tightly - the pocket is slightly elasticated to give a firm grip.

Because the case is thin, I'm not sure what would fit in the pockets on the opposite side of the shell - an iPhone or iPod, a notepad and pens probably. Possibly the power pack, although it would make a bump and press against the Macbook. I'm not sure if that is bad or not. However as this is a case, and not a bag, I guess most people would carry their power packs elsewhere anyway (and besides, a power plug, particularly a British one, is just too bulky to fit in here anyway).

The spine of case has a thick rubberised bumper which feels like it would give significant shock protection. The strength of the case, the padded interior and the raised ridges on the outside of the shell make me think that a Macbook could survive quite being dropped from normal carrying height in the case and would be fine, although obviously you'd try not to drop it again.

Mine is the 11.6" case.

It seems as if every case I really like isn't made for the 13 inch

They make a 13" case as well. Would be a bit silly if they didn't!

I just went on their website and they didn't have one, unless i wasn't looking hard enough. Can you post the link?

EDIT: Just found it...Nevermind. It's just backordered and it won't ship until February so I will not be purchasing it.
