I love it! What are the room dimensions? It looks like you have no window, or it's covered by the screen setup? Excellent job, I'd be proud too. :)

Thanks guy's, Its the back 2/3rds of my double garage and measures approx. 5m X 3m and thats why it has no window, great for home theatre.

Does anyone know what media player he's using here?

Mine is still a work-in-progress...

Sanyo PLV-Z2000 1080 projector
100" motorized 16:9 screen built into cabinetry
Sony STR-DE897 7.1 amp (no HDMI inputs, so it's asking to be replaced)
Motorola DCT-3416 DVR
Older DVD/VCR combo
Panasonic BD-35 Blu-Ray Player
Mac-Mini 2.0gHz 2GB/160GB (Will use Plex when I feel like setting it up)
Wii with sensor bar mounted permanently into cabinetry
Slingbox Classic
4-way AV Switcher since I don't have enough inputs (what is it with receivers these days?)
Bose 5.1 speaker system (front speakers built into cabinetry)

Wall panel by seating to plug in iPod, computer, video camera, etc.
Input in bookshelf for iPod.
Soon to have Logitech diNovo Edge wireless kepboard for MacMini
Soon to have Time Capsule for main internet access point/media storage

Lighting is all Insteon controlled by an 8-button wall panel scene selector, and Indigo software on the MacMini (with control from iPhone as well).

All the equipment is in the far right cabinet. Beer fridge is in the far left cabinet. :D

I don't have multiple RAID arrays with shared media around the house and 6.3 TB of music videos and 19 TB of movies and TV shows. I like to keep it simple. :)

where on earth do you get these sort of sofas from? They have that middle bit for cup holders in between some of the seats. They're bloody awesome!

Where do you get them?:)

Here in Australia, like every sofa/furniture shop have them. The ones I want are where the two middle seats also recline rather than having the footrest/ottoman.
They're generally about $2,500 AUD, which is rather average price for sofas here.

I might have seen the sort of one you're looking for somewhere in this thread, they look fantastic. I don't think you'd ever get them out on display in a store here in the UK though.

Since I last showed a picture or two I have moved into a house I purchased and upgraded some things. Now my house probably looks completely different then most on here. It is a 1934 Depression-era house that has had upgrades like a new electrical system and other items like carpet, new windows, etc., but still retains the original lath and plaster construction walls, wood trim, doors and even lighting fixtures on the living room walls. The wall mounted lighting fixtures look awesome, but are no longer hooked up since they were part of the old knob and tube wiring which was all bypassed or removed. Anyhow here is my fairly modest home theater. I have a 46" Sharp Aquos Quattron LED, Bose Lifestyle V20, LG Wi-Fi BD player, Philips HDD/DVD recorder and a Nintendo Wii. I also have an Airport Express for streaming music to the Lifestyle.

I also included a picture of my seating set-up which is arranged more with a focus around the fireplace then the home theater, but it still provides a good viewing location. The couch is reclining with a fold down cup holder table and massage. The fireplace is just an electric insert, but it is a nice and relaxing touch.

I will say one thing about room acoustics and sound. My Bose system sounded ok in my old place, however in this room with the hard plaster walls, carpeting and acoustical ceiling it sounds amazing.

Hammie's Media Room

Here is my setup. I plan on some updating this year (more amps and new speaker wires), but we will see how it goes. My wife turns 40 in April and she has something big in mind for herself...

Gorgeous speakers, and I love the amps. Do you have surrounds/satellites as well? What kind of sub are you using? Could you detail out the pieces of your audio equipment?

Now that is some set of equipment. The B&W 800 series is the absolute king of the hill in my book. I've auditioned them on several occasions. Just need to bring myself to spend the $20k.

$100 says your an AVSforum member :)

Here are some quick pics of my setup.

I constructed the room in my basement myself and built the two black cabinets. The room is fairly small @ 16x15 - but I find it really about perfect for my needs. It's connected via two french doors to a large rec room so there's plenty of room nearby. The screen was also diy @ about 94" diagonal. Not huge by front projection standards- but it's considerably larger then the 55" LCD outside the room.

Images are not working. I did find them here though :)

Sure thing! Were those pictures really taken in 08? If so, anything change since then?

The pics are actually circa 2008. Not much has changes in terms of outward appearance since then. There is a closet just to the left of the screen where all my AV equipment is setup. I've switched out the AVR with a newer one model (a Denon 3808- which itself is no longer very current) and replaced the bluray player with a newer Sony model - I had the very first bluray player on the market (Samsung I believe) at the time of the pic. I still run the original HD-DVD player on the market - the Toshiba HD-A1 (love this beast). The projector has also been updated - but again is old by today's standards @ a Sanyo Z5.

I consider my stuff as very mid-range. Would love to upgrade the speakers (currently Paradigm Monitor v5's and a SVS sub) to B&W's and move to a 1080P projector- but this would all cost a ton and I'm yet willing to part with the cash to do so.

For now, I feel like I'm getting 90-95% of the rooms potential via the equipment I've got. But as anyone who's into this stuff knows, sitting on your hands is a VERY hard thing to do...
