Just posted this in another thread, but I feel it will probably be more helpful here in quelling some of the FUD around the overall "theme" of the OS.

tl;dr - The UI responds to your wallpaper to create a cohesive "theme" to the experience. If you like dark, get a dark background. If you like light, get a light background. Etc.

Settings > Notifications (scroll to the bottom).

Maybe its specific to VZW phones.

Sure, here you go, with iOS7, no point in keeping the proper proportions as the parallax-ing effect takes up more of the image. Just fit this image stretching/resizing it.

I liked the old phone and signal bars better then this

I prefer the old design overall.

I can live with it, I just hope they change the signal bar before final release...it doesn't look like a signal bar, it's not the universal signal bar look, it would be like changing the on/off/standby icon.

Time heals that problem. A lot of updates for 3rd party apps will start to flow over the next 3-4 months to be more consistent with the HIG.
