It's kind of implied is the issue I have with the "Freeconomy" in this digital age, sharing as in showing you is one thing, "Can I have what you have but not pay for it?" is another.

People expect a lot for free these days and that is not a respectable or sustainable practice in the society we have created. By taking the time to point this thread out as an example of how rampant this expectation now is, I am hoping to make people think before they do that and to *ESPECIALLY* not disrespect one another if someone declines to give something away.

I was pretty surprised at how rude people were to that guy, pretty telling of how people have become.

On a self made picture i can understand why people dont want to share their work with others, but most of the pictures in this thread, if not 99% of them, are pictures that people getting for "free" from the internet.
I dont see the point of not sharing these pics with others, special when you can find them yourself over the net if you really want to, so why not helping others...

Fair enough, and I do agree with you that people do expect a lot for free these days, also that it's not a sustainable practice at all. I often wonder how some people make money these days due to those expectations. The person has every right to deny posting the original wallpaper and I'm not bothered by that at all. It's just that the general theme of this particular thread is to show your home screen so people can get app ideas, organization ideas and also wallpapers. Without sharing the wallpaper, people can still get the app ideas and organization ideas so it's still definitely contributing to the thread so it's perfectly valid to not post your original wallpaper. How people reacted, that's just unfortunate. Hopefully that doesn't turn away people who are new to this site or were planning on posting their home screen.
