I've had my iPhone since friday on AT&T and have yet picked up ANY LTE signal in Houston on my 5, this is seriously BS. 4th Largest city in the nation and I'm supposed to believe that LTE isn't available, I'm close to taking this thing back..

Call AT&T. I had the same issue - they may need to re adjust your account settings

Where in San Diego?

San Diego, CA

Hello, your speedtest in San Diego is pretty fast, I live in San Diego too and if you don't mind me asking, which area is that where you did your speedtest?

I'm thinking of switching to AT&T and I'd like to know the iPhone 5 signal speed in downtown area zip code 92101, if anybody else that work or live in downtown, could you please post your speedtest? Thanks.

p.s.Just keep in mind that a single LTE test with the speediest.net app takes 8mb for download and 2mb for upload, I did 20 tests and I used 160mb/40mb of my monthly limit. LTE is fast....:D

Thanks. Those are decent speeds but I've seen other posts here and around the web with ATT LTE in Houston hitting upwards of 40.

I've been getting faster speeds lately, this one is from this morning. Been getting around mid to upper 40s, this is the fastest I've gotten. Did this test inside the gym, on my 4S it was close to impossible to get a signal in here.

Same thing happened to me. I had to call tech support and get passed around to several people. The initial person kept trying to tell me that 4G and LTE are the same thing

Yeah, HSPA+ has been giving me 5 and LTE has mostly been 8 - 10 so far. (I did hit 30 in one spot, but that's not a spot I live or work.)

If it doesn't improve soon I'm going to turn off LTE too. That amount of difference isn't worth the battery drain.

You're not going to see much of an improvement in battery life. Since only one cellular chip is used on the iPhone 5, it's all the same. The chip will be used no matter what. It's just a matter of what frequency the phone is putting out. Apples website also details the battery life for 3G/LTE browsing as the same.

AT&T - San Francisco, CA (Goldengate Heights area)

Knew LTE was running fast. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the speed test results.

Chicago burbs LTE speeds suck. I travel all over the area and the best speed I got was in Huntley (45 miles outside of Chicago). 8.3 down and 3 up.

Normally I get 5 down wherewver I go. Very disappointing.
