Had my best the other day. Visiting a town for a doctors appointment for my stepson and hit 59.81 down and 9.3 up. I couldn't believe it. My wife thought I had lost my mind. My power button is on the fritz so no screen shot unfortunately. My typical for my town is 10-12 down.

You can use assistive control to take a screen shot.

Welcome to TMobile. Over promising and underwhelming

Middle of nowhere Southern Maine with one bar of LTE.

AT&T 2x10 700 LTE

Only one matching these speeds around here are VZW.

You still haven't given me some evidence of your BS statement from the other thread ;)

And for the record, you're achieving the same speeds as me in Eerie, PA with "full bars", whereas AT&T is providing that in a quite rural part of Maine (where T-Mobile is EDGE BTW) on just "one bar."

I can keep that same LTE connection for almost 600 miles south. T-Mobile? Good luck with that.

Not the greatest, but far from the worst... in Shreveport, LA on Verizon.

you of all people should know full well the bars indicator has nothing to do with data. I'd like to see AT&T hit 90Mbps...

I already posted plenty of evidence in that other thread. U just chose to ignore it due to your close-mindedness. I could care less what cell company you like so i didn't push it further. But believe it or not... Tmobile works for plenty of people. If it doesn't work for you, oh well, nobody cares.

here's my former AT&T LTE speed test.

i get faster speeds on Tmo HSPA+...just sayin

You said 50% of markets had higher overall Rootmetrics scores and still haven't shown any evidence for that. You linked me to 2-3 cities. That's it.

Once again, it's BS. I'm not the one with a closed mind, it's you.

If 2-3 cities = 50% of all RM markets in your mind, then good luck to you. I suggest getting some help for your delusions.

What you are talking about?

LTE is quite a fragile airlink. Much more signal dependant than HSPA or EDGE. It degrades a lot quicker. This is why your EDGE signal might work deep inside buildings, whereas LTE doesn't.
All I'm hearing is excuses and a lack of technical knowledge. If you don't know what you're talking about, spare me the waste of time.

The fact of the matter is that I'm getting the same speeds on a weaker LTE signal.

I'd like to see AT&T hit 90Mbps...
I'd like to see that repeated multiple times. TMo is still testing 2x20 LTE on a handful of towers in the Dallas market, that's it. You won't get that speeds everywhere. Only in the most perfect situations.

The "bars indicator", as specifically mentioned by Col Ronson , are largely useless.

Not necessarily. Even though the scale of the bar indicators is not the same across all devices, it can be used to make predictions. For example, my "1 bar" LTE speed test is off a significantly weaker LTE signal than Col's "full dot" LTE speed test.

Pre-Android 4.3, the "bars" did not show the signal strength of the LTE network you connected to. It would show the strength of HSPA/EDGE/1x/EVDO, etc.

The bar indicator in 4.3 now shows direct signal strength (RSSI/RSRP) of the connected LTE network. You notice this when you make a call. LTE goes away and the bars might increase or decrease.

You get 30Mbps on 1 bar of ATT, good for you. I get 5Mbps on 2 bars ATT lol and faster Tmo HSPA+ speeds. To each their own.

here's my 3-bar speed test. I find it extremely difficult ironically to find a location with 1 bars.
