My first Mac setup using kit I already have will look to get it better in the future.

The iPad is a 2020 iPad Pro which I could not sell when upgrading, I use it now just for playing music through my HomePod its also connected to a smart plug which charges it up every night so never have to worry about no power.

I love Universal Control one mouse to rule it all!

What app. do you use to play tour music. I would like to do the same into my hifi but the iPhone/iPad compression is enormous. 132gb on my Mac goes to 75gb on my iPad and iPhone. Apple say that is normal but I can hear the difference. I suppose I should ask on the other forum.

Not a Mac mini but it's mini for set up and space.

This is my new mobile set up. It's totally worth carrying around two extra bags for the metal stand and the mechanical keyboard just to avoid using the poor MacBook keyboard and it's far better for your posture without the neck strain.

What's great about this set up is if I want to use two monitors, I can put my 16" portable monitor where the keyboard is and pull the keyboard out. Then I have a two monitor set up. I have a USB-C hub double side velcro taped to the underside off the stand.

Carry 3 bags, one for the laptop, another for the stand and another for the keyboard.

Stand weighs around 6lbs, keyboard over 4lbs, M4 MacBook 3.5. Total weight = around 14lbs.
Extra portable monitor weighs another 2lbs if I bring it too.

Still very portable and quick to set up.

I see, but one needs to click on the link, you posted, to go to your personal website on blogspot... Many people wont do that because of security or personal reasons.

Hey deep, what keyboard is that? Love the color scheme!

Hello is there setups where câble management is on his best ? It’s the only thing which blocked me.

Nothing special - the Mini, a UHD Samsung monitor, a 1200p Dell monitor and a USB-C hub. Four cables connected to the Mini - HDMI, Ethernet, USB-C hub and the power cord. The desk is not so tidy normally :)

I got rid of the threshold monitor riser from target yesterday. I replace it with an allsop organizer 5 monitor stand from officedepot yesterday. It was 42.99 but they matched walmart so I saved 20 bucks.

Officedepot

I cant find the link to walmart anymore. It must of been removed because it was out of stock anyway. Lucky me.

Anhow the old 2009 mini hides in the back. And the new mini is vesad like before behind the monitor. And the keyboard slips underneath if I need more desk space.

Are there any good stands / USB hubs around for the M4 Mini?

Something that does dual purposes of more ports and raising the machine so I can get to the power button without tilting the machine over all the time?

My deceased fathers old files I can't bare to toss.
I get that. I have all my late grandmother's photos, paintings and recipes on her 2013 Mini, that's sitting on a shelf in my office. I still regret not being able to hold on to my late dad's Apple IIc.

There was no 2013 mini. There was 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, 2023, and 2024. No 2013 ever existed.
