Yeah, because when i'm on my lock screen, I might not be able to tell whether my device is locked or not.
What about the time and date being displayed in large font at the top, plus the "slide to unlock" thing down the bottom? Plus the absence of any apps?

Thanks to the latest JB, I am finally able to stop using the home button.
The poper, especially 2x was the 3rd most annoying thing on the planet!
The 1st is a lack of arrow keys of which JB does not fix.
The 2nd most annoying thing is the swipe to turn on. THANKfully this has finally been addressed by a much needed JB.
Too bad I can show my screen here. It is so beautiful.
7 icons in the dock. No icons on the screen other than in the dock. I finally got a folder no lecture that makes sense, consolidating things like news sports and weather into one folder. And system and utilities into one, etc.
Before JB I, had 20 folders, including Photo P, Photo T and Photo S (processing, transfer and storage. Now I can stick them all into one folder (thanks to 5 Icon and Folder Enhancer, etc). Like 20, I would 16 folders on the 2nd screen, but would occasionally have to redo it, which was frustrating. So now, just 7 icons.
But I must say I have gotten a neat idea from another poster here...not sure if theirs was JBed or not. I am going to stick all of those folders into one folder.
I love it.
[Just did the iPad this way...except I followed another poster above. 1 folder icon plus 6 other most common apps. Looks great...and very functional. I wish you all could see it in this thread...a real reason to set your phone free.]
