You can't go my unflattering shot, this is more like it: a pair in a 2005 school computer lab.

By do you mean the U.K. iMac table conversion kit? http://www.mactechnology.co.uk/imac-g3-table-drawer-loading-cd-drive---complete-5-p.asp

I specifically remember right before I went to school for the first time I was taking a tour and the computer lab was FULL of old iMac G3s that they were giving out for free and my mom passed them up! To this day I still can't believe it. .-.

I'm in the process of putting back together an original Titanium Powerbook. I bought it on Ebay for $10. The seller had no idea about Macs, so I gave him some information and asked a couple of questions. I then felt guilty that no one had bid, so I put in the minimum bid and won. Now I really feel guilty because, given the costs of Ebay and packaging, the seller made about $6 on the deal. (Where is the blushing icon when I want it?)

It was showing the file with the flashing question mark and was missing a keyboard and a power supply. I was able to get both of those in other Ebay auctions for $25 total. I found that the hard drive connecting wire had come loose, and there was a copy of 9.2.1 on the original 10GB hard drive. The battery is just about dead. Hinges are good, though! The old Mercury is beaten up and scratched, but it works!

That and my Cube, with a 20" ADC monitor, upgraded video card, and an SSD, are my oldest entries, pushing the dozen year mark.

I got a power pc g3 beige for free on Craigslist. It works but has no real uses. Not sure how much ram or HDD.

Rocking a first-generation eMac here with OS9. It's my gaming machine. By that, OS9 games only :p

I created a Snow Leopard partition on my MacBook so I could run Warcraft III and play old school DotA on it through Rosetta, since Lion dropped PowerPC compatibility. I had deleted WC3 off my MacBook when I upgraded last year since it didn't run in Lion and I had to go back to my old 2005 iBook G4 1.4Ghz 60GB to copy it over to the new SL partition. So I pulled it out for the first time in 3 years (that design has not aged well) and, knowing that the battery was only good for about 15-20 minutes the last time I'd used it, I plugged it in. After copying the files to a hard drive I shut it down and went to copy them to the SL partition on the MacBook, but I just left the iBook sitting on the table plugged in. When I returned about 30 minutes later I found the battery on the iBook had gotten very hot, even with the computer shut down. So I unplugged the power cord and then hit the power button because I was curious how long the battery would last on it’s own after all this time. It wouldn’t turn on. So I connected the power cable and booted it up and then unplugged the power cable, it immediately shut off like a desktop that had been unplugged. So the battery is gone, but it still boots with the power cable. And then I found ten dollars.

I have an iMac G3 I use daily for streaming music, word processing/printing.

It's an indigo/500 mhz with 512 mb RAM and a 32gb solid state drive. Runs absolutely silent and is quite quick! :)

I'm tied with you

I have a 6115 PowerPC also, right beside a 7200. The cd drive and floppy died but it boots and runs fine. I need some parts it looks like.

Here's a Macintosh LC I had. I don't actually have it anymore, but this is a picture I sent to a buddy when I had it set up to sell. Had 6.0.8 on it. :D

Edit: I was just posting this as an old Mac, not PowerPC. To be clear, this isn't a PowerPC.

The Macintosh LC is not a PowerPC Macintosh. It is an Motorola 680X0 one with a Motorola 68020 CPU running at 12Mhz.

I knew it wasn't a PowerPC, I was simply posting it because it was an old Mac. I edited the post to state clearly that it was not a PowerPC. I apologize for my non-clarity.

It is a nice old Mac. I've always been fond of the pizza box ones. Maybe I'll pick one up someday.

I picked that one up on Craigslist for $90 about a year ago with everything in the picture, and more.

For $90, I got:
-Macintosh LC
-"12 Monitor
-Keyboard and Mouse
-LaserWriter Printer (I believe that's what it was called)
-Original System 7 Floppies (I later downloaded System 6.0.8 from Apple's server to simply experience the earliest OS possible)
-All of the documentation for the LC, and System 7.
-Various software and game floppies

It was a neat little machine, but I had no use for it. I sold it to a friend of mine (a fellow Mac collector) for what I bought it for and came out even. I'd rather the machine go to a good home than it sit in my house unused (and taking up space), ya know?

gotta love the peace tea :p

Definitely one of my favorites. I started drinking them last summer. Every day around 12-1PM (on my lunch break) I'd head over to a gas station and grab something to eat and a Monster energy drink, until I realized I was drinking Monsters every day, and decided to quit for the sake of my heart. Haha.

Peace Tea's were right next to the Monster's at the gas station, same size, and about 1/3 the price so I bought one. Ever since it's been my drink of choice when going to a gas station, and I usually grab 3-4 of them if I see them while grocery shopping so I have some for the week. :D

I like arizonas my favorite one is the arnold palmer lite half and half
the last time I had a monster I downed 2 and I couldn't sleep for 2 days

My two oldest PowerPC Macs

My two oldest PowerPC computers are these: A 1997 PowerMac 4400/200 and a January 1998 PowerMac G3 Minitower. They both work, but I have had trouble getting the OS installed on the 4400/200. The OS just won't install for an unknown error... sounds a lot like an issue one would have on a Windows PC. 90s Macs are the closest things to Windows PCs that aren't Windows PCs. Anyway, it does boot from my genuine MacOS8 CD. Not pictured is my PowerMac G3 beige tower version of the minitower. With my G3 Minitower is a 1996 Apple Multiscan 15av display. I don't have a 1997 Apple display with me. Sorry I didn't turn on the G3 to prove that it boots. I had taken pictures with it on, only realizing that my card didn't save them. I pulled the card outta my Mac while it was asleep... not a good idea.

Well, oldest I have is the only one I have, 12" PB. Oldest fully working PowerPC Mac I have ever owned was G4 Digital Audio 733MHz. If counting faulty machines the oldest I have owned was PM G4 with 400MHz CPU, not sure about the exact model.
