Saturday morning in Chicago. I'm in love with this camera.

Anyone doing comparisons with 6S and 6S Plus? Let's see how much different the OIS makes.

Awesome pics in this thread! I'm loving my 6s and the camera coming from my old 5c. I'm more than pleased with it, especially how well it holds up in the dim and dark. I'll post a couple but they're literally just snap shots I was taking when I was messing with the phone, nothing like some of your alms amazing shots!

These were taken in my dark living room with the only light being the one on the table the items were on.

These are hosted/posted via tapatalk so if they look blurry it's definitely that - they're shockingly clear on my phone.

Well there was the rumor about the next iPhone getting two cameras that combine together to stitch a really high MP image and also create enhanced depth of field effects from evaluating the offset between the cameras to create a depth map that can be selectively blurred. So that's likely at least by the 7S. I think A big area of focus going forward will be on brighter low-light photos. They may open up the f/2.2 lens to f/2 or f/1.8. Furthermore Sony is making huge strides in low-light high ISO performance so we should see those improvements make it to future iPhones.

The 8mp lens lasted quite a while with small changes every year, the drastic improvements were more software based in most ways.

The 2 lens system is already on one or two Android phones, but isn't giving palpably better results, so I very much doubt on the 7 or 7S we'll see two 12mp lenses.

As for f/1.8 like the G4, there could be space issues. If you looks at the G4 camera module and the S6 too, they are far bigger than the iPhone.

Obviously Apple will improve it next year, but it will be incremental I think. It will be mostly down to software, processor etc.

I actually returned my 6s Rose Gold today and picked up a 128gb 6s plus in Gold.

Mainly due to battery life. As far as pictures go I don't think the ois actually makes any difference, at least not to my eyes.

Anyway here's one from the West Australian Museum in Perth.

I'm hoping the 7 increases light sensitivity, probably with a better sensor because like you said those bigger apertures are going to be harder to come by in an even thinner enclosure. Especially when Apple gets so much crap from their users for protruding cameras. As for comparing to Android, we know that Apple likes to take existing ideas and actually make them into an easy to use product with great results. So we might see the dual-camera system as big reason to upgrade for the 7s. I know some mirrorless company (can't remember which) does a good job with combining shots using the offset from the OIS, so the tech is there for at least that kind of single lens implementation that can increase resolution. I also believe Apple has some patents in that area. Who knows, they might revert back to 8mp but with two sensors that are extremely sensitive to low light with larger photo receptors. Then they could combine the two shots together into a single 16mp still. So an increase in resolution, sensitivity and the ability to get some nice bokeh with the offset algorithms. It definitely sounds like an "s" feature, so 2017 at the earliest seems likely.
