looks way way oversaturated!
I can assure you it is not.
Southern France has very very strong natural colors, and sunlight is very bright and peculiar here. This is why some famous painters (Van Gogh for instance) painted mostly in Provence (Southern France). Please google Van Gogh paintings, and you will understand what I mean.
As for my photo, please look at the adjustments below. They are Magic Wand defaults, with the exception of the color cast (as I said before). No over-saturation for my eyes, this is exactly how they look in reality.

It breaks my heart to see mostly on photos with beautiful sceneries (trees with leafs) the aggressive noise reduction of the camera... still not fixed from i6. Even 5S could get more clear photos on the background. I cant believe how actual people that work for Apple dont notice that....i havent yet seen any article for that matter from the Apple bloggers/news sites. That kind of the monet effect on the background is unacceptable.... camera is only amazing on close-up shots.

I agree 100% here. Back on the 5S days running 7.1.2 I used to be able to take amazing photos without any of this crazy noise reduction algorithm that Apple has implemented.

Don't get me wrong, under the right lighting and exposure the 6S/6S Plus take amazing pictures as well but the heavy noise reduction is just horrible and needs to be reverted.
