I am going to take a stab at it and say it was some kind of combination of Photo + app + PS Mobile. The PS mobile app has a filter that has the multi-color look found in the sky of that pic.

Basic camera and a little editing in iPhoto (darkening the highlights and denoising for the darker areas).

This is G-Land, a world class point break on the southeastern corner of Java, Indonesia. It was taken in late July, and I can almost guarantee the first iPhone 4 in this part of the world, and one of the first in Indonesia....:D

Your photos are just amazing, than you for sharing!

I am a pro who has been on the road working on a coffee table book project for over a year now, two months left to go. The only digital camera I have with me is my iPhone 4, set on Hipstamatic, basic setting, looks killer right out of the camera which is great since I *never* use photoshop to fake out my photos. The main reason I use the iphone at all is for blog entries and to send home to my wife.

In some of the images you can see real cameras in use for the project, loaded with real photographic materials, film..;-)

Saw this outside my house earlier today. Loved the colors so I snapped a pic. (Edited with Tilt Shift Gen)

I have to guess I am one of the lucky one's. I got my iphone the day before it came out and I haven't had any problems at all (knock on wood).
I've see a few others have the same problem. I've heard the problems range from using the camera in florescent lighting, to a bad lense. Have you taken yours in to an Apple store for them to look at? Do you get the same green blob taking a picture of a piece of paper outside in the sun?

i love this camera. it displaced my 5mp olympus point and shoot as secondary camera (dSLR primary :)) since it actually has similar if not better quality.
Both retouched, I actually like the color tones.

Yeah but indoors the green blob is VERY prominent and outside it's a big more subdued. But it's there.

And being a photographer it really gets to me. The camera should work perfectly and should not have these issues.

I was using my brother's Samsung Focus and the camera on there works flawlessly with no discolouration.

And if its just a software issue then Apple needs to fix it, otherwise they will keep getting returned "defective" phones from me.

I agree. If you still have that blob effect I would take it in to the Apple store, take a picture right in front of them, and you'll most likely get a replacement right there.
But if you do....make sure you back up everything on your phone. Everything.
