Neither my lexmark x4550 printer nor my hp f4280 all in one work. I used to be able to scan to ocr and to pdf. Now I can't even print. i have tried everything that I have read from hp etc. Time to remove sl I think as I have to be able to scan.
Ok.... This is really difficult and to be honest, I don't even know how I got it to work.I used a combination of re-installing the lexmark drivers and applications and using the CUPS driver to manually configure it.
When I print it says there is a communication error.... but as STUPID as Lexmark is...(I hate them) it still prints (which is a plus).
It somehow is now able to wake my printer from power-save (which it didn't before)
My problems are the following (Upgraded from Leopard, and I am using 10.6.1)
I'm sure some of these have been mentioned before.
-Vertical lines when clicking on Top Sites
-Random Crashes due to java or flash applets
-Lexmark Printer doesn't work fully
-Logitiec Control Center doesnt recognize my keyboard or mouse. (Frankly, thats Logitecs problem, and should have been fixed weeks ago.)
-Battery seemed to be used up faster
-When I have a lot of applications open, some don't appear on the dock or in the application switcher
-Mail randomly redownloads my entire Yahoo! Inbox of over 1000 messages, despite the fact I already read them.
-iCal doesn't properly sync with gCal.
-Random memory leaks. I had my computer on over night and my Inactive Processes went from 360MB to 1.78GB for NO REASON!!! I have NO idea what is raping my memory.
-It doesn't seem like some applications are fully using Grand Centeral, or I am just not grasping the idea. Some thing seem slower now. Final cut has been hanging a little more, and Adobe CS4 apps are taking a little longer to load.
-Time Machine is still slow to load, but has improved.
-My Weather Widgets randomly move out of place
-Sometimes on start up Finder Icons don't load properly, instead its just a name and a grey dotted outline.
That's all I can think of really. My BIGGEST issue is this mystery memory leak that is eating away at my 4GB ram.... Almost half is taken by Inactive processes when I have Safari, Finder, and the Process Manager open...
