killer

while we are on this subject.. why is it that no company other than apple is smart enough to use slot load cd drives? even the company that manufactures apples laptops uses slot load, a big old clunky drive drawer coming out is crazy... there are a couplle on the market I guess, but the majority use that big ol drawer... kudo's to apple for that... funny looking at the link with the picture of it with the drawer open... clunky

I guess it is flattery but I am so sick of hearing/seeing thing call a iXYZ killer.
Why are products that are seen to compete with Apple's products called killers instead of competitors?

I don't want to touch my screen. It gets dirty enough just from dust. Not to mention that I don't want the hassle of reaching across my desk when I'm quite comfortable with my arms resting where they are. Even more not mentioning that it's ugly as sin.

Touchscreens are good for point of sale machines and maybe industrial computers on assembly lines.

I keep my fingers OFF my screen.

Anyone else notice how unbalanced that thing looks? Looks like a hunchback with that head forward position.

I just read everyones comments then checked that thing! Gag! Like the iMac will pwn that thing any day. It's so outdated and stuff. P4 ffs! and the thickness.

I see the application is factory floors, does that me apply to factory floor and get velocity results?

Err.. it's pretty hard for it to be an iMac killer when it doesn't run OS X, right? ;)

Thats kind of what I was thinking. This is not meant to be a iMac killer!

i found this while roaming the web. could be a potential imac killer as there is a touchscreen version

Not really, if you look at the price. The cheapest iMac is $999. The cheapest model of this machine, upgraded to less than iMac specs, is $1626 (single P4 processor, slightly smaller harddisk, no software except the OS).

the only think that has over the iMac is its built-in TV tuner.

Which is absolutely essential in the recommended areas of use:

- Financials
- Healthcare
- Education
- Government
- Point of Sale
- Hospitality
- Factory Floors
