What about sound quality ? Are those better than the APP 2? Maybe not the point for running and other workouts but still…

This is messed up, why, epxplain … give me a good reason. I also got two pennies to share.

I love my Powerbeats Pro despite having the charging issue on my second pair - however using the case from my first pair magically solved the issue. Will upgrade once first real user reviews are out and there are no issues.

Interesting. Not sure I’d want to mess with them traveling when I have to put the pods back in the case but interesting.
Putting them on is a bit fiddly, but once I have them on, they stay on my ears! I had a little pouch from my Bose earbuds that works very nicely to keep these in, so I put the hooks on, carry them around in the Bose case when I'm not using them, and only take the hooks off again when the AirPods are completely out of power.

Apple needs to add more color choices like white or yellow. Sounds interesting esp. if it has good battery life and good ANC. The Beats Fit Pro is OK but its ANC sucks compared to the APP2 ANC which is very good.

Will they support the hearing test feature ?
I think that's one of the best things implemented by Apple in 24. The audiogram-based adjustments are fantastic, and nearly everyone could benefit from a free and reliable hearing test.

I want a yellow like the Sony "sport" from the 1990's 😃

In September, Apple said that it would be launching Powerbeats Pro 2 in 2025, and it appears the wireless earbuds are coming very soon.

In his Power On newsletter today, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said the Powerbeats Pro 2 are "due imminently." In addition to Apple filing the Powerbeats Pro 2 in regulatory databases last month, Gurman said Apple is planning to hold product briefings with the media "in a week or so" to go over the new features of the wireless earbuds.

Powerbeats Pro are a sportier, fitness-focused alternative to AirPods Pro with built-in, adjustable ear hooks for a secure fit. Apple's teaser video last year showed MLB star Shohei Ohtani wearing the Powerbeats Pro 2, revealing a more vertical, slimmer design compared to the original Powerbeats Pro, which are now discontinued.

We previously reported that the Powerbeats Pro 2 will offer heart rate monitoring during workouts. Based on our iOS 18 code findings, you will be able to connect the Powerbeats Pro 2 to gym equipment like a treadmill to measure heart rate, and the data will be visible in the Health app and other supported apps on the iPhone.

We also confirmed that Powerbeats Pro 2 will support Active Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio, and Adaptive Audio. The earbuds and charging case will be available in Jet Black, Quick Sand, Electric Orange, and Hyper Purple, and the case should have a USB-C port.

Based on other recent Beats headphones, other potential upgrades for the Powerbeats Pro 2 include improved sound quality, longer battery life, and improved cross-platform compatibility with Android features like Find My Device.

The hearing test can be done with any adequate earphone / headset. The question is whether they will act as hearing aids.

It will depends on price.

My AirPod Pro 2 is slowly dying and the left one often doesn't charge properly, so I need a replacement soon.
How old are they ? Dying after just 2 years is very bad. Usually my AirPods started showing issues after 4 years.

Hard to say without a review.

Like the colours of these. Not sure whether I will get one. Hopefully there will not be any price hike with the new model.

Hoping these don’t mean the end of the Fit Pro. I love mine and am very concious that I'm living on borrowed time with them. Either the batteries will go, I'll snap one of the hooks, or lose them. At which point I don’t want to have to buy them unless a v2 is out. I do wish there was some kind of at least semi-reliable release cycle for Beats!

Last year I bought a pair of the original powerbeats pros. Even tho i heard the rumor of new ones coming in 2025, I couldn't wait for the 2nd gen. Besides, I can already monitor my heart rate on my apple watch so that feature wasn't important to me. USB-C would have been nice tho. My powerbeats pros are the only apple device i now own that still uses a lightning connector. Having said that, I prefer the powerbeat pros over any other in ear headphones. Especially for sports or working out. Apple ear pods never fit my ears properly. Nor did any other in ear headphones. They always pop out of my ears! The Powerbeat pros stay in...and they have a 10 hr battery life compared to Apple's 5hrs. Lastly, I love the physical volume control button on the powerbeat pros. So convenient. Whenever my original powerbeat pros die in the future, i will definitely buy the 2nd gen. I only hope they kept the physical volume buttons and that the slimmer size doesn't effect battery life.

The big unknown is still weather the case (or at least optional case) will support wireless charging like AirPods. Fingers crossed.

Never buying these lines of headphones again. Batteries on the left died out four days after a year, Apple didn’t want to replace the left earphone. Decided to purchase a new set because of how they hug your ears when active. Then the new pairs died within a year. Mind you, I live in a dry environment and didn’t sweat on them, I always took care of them. I’ll try these new ones out if gifted or given to me, but I’m not spending another dollar. But that’s just my experience, what say you?

I wish they brought back the Powerbeats that were connected with a wire. I still have a pair and they are perfect, no charging issues because they have a lightning port and they have better sound quality than the Pro. But if they have solved the charging problems in this gen 2 version, they may be my next ones.

Then they should show the M4 MacBook Air at the same time if they're having a little media gathering.

Cant wait for these. Loved the first gen minus the charging issues. Hope they fixed that. The originals were great for workouts and didn't fall out of your ears.
