What makes these Pro? I have a hard time believing any wireless earbuds could qualify as acceptable for mixing and mastering audio in a studio.
The whole point of wireless is portability & motion. I have a pair of 1st Gen AirPods that I like to use in an office environment where I can walk around with them and quickly pop them in and out of my ears as needed. I also love my Powerbeats Pro headphones that I use while exercising because they fit securely and have excellent battery life (I am cyclist and I sometimes do all day rides on gravel trails). The sound quality in both of these wireless headphones is more than good enough for the environment they were intended for. A studio environment is completely different as you don't have nearly as much background noise and sound quality is a much higher priority than portability. It is all a matter of use case and I would agree with you that working with audio in a studio you would probably want to stick to wired headphones.

Dan’s review made interesting reading. Any feedback from glasses wearers?

Fine for me, might depend on the type of glasses though, I have Oakley ones that don't curve around the rear of my ear.

I haven't had any drop outs, battery life is fine, sound quality is great once you find the best fitting tips. I much prefer them to my version 1 airpods.

Are they any better in the microphone area? Why does no one ever objectively test the frequency response of microphones any more?

The mics on the airpods are horrible.

On wired earpods, the mic is great.

I'm not spending any more money on Apple junk I can't use for phone calls.

Mine have been in the case for about 24 hours. The case was at 100%. Around 20 hours later, the case is at 96%.

Keep them in the case. Whilst the case does train, it's about 5% on a day they aren't used.
If you disconnect them from your Apple account, they'll drain 0 percent. Leave them out of the case when you go to bed and turn the bluetooth off on the device they were connected to and see what the battery is at when you wake up. It's ridiculous that they drain the way they do.

They’re great for exercising and I’m happy I updated to them from my PowerBeats 2, but I’m considering buying a new pair of AirPods for my commute. I definitely see where there is room for them to coexist with AirPods.

The main issue with the PowerBeats Pro for me is the size of their case. If you’re going running or to the gym, it’s easy enough to leave it at home. Trying to use them when commuting, I don’t like having to figure out where to store the case. When it was cooler out it was easy enough to slip it in a jacket pocket. Now that it’s warmer I’m stuck awkwardly holding something about the size of a hockey puck.

On the other hand, I got a pair of AirPods in Dec 2016 and the battery in the individual earpieces are shot. The right ear lasts about 50 minutes until it beeps at me that it’s dying. The left ear lasts about 2 hours. While they’re definitely one of the more convenient things I’ve ever purchased, and I like them, I don’t know how I feel about buying another pair if they’re only going to last ~2.5 years.
And a big reason for that battery drop is because of what I described above. Even when not in use they're draining constantly. Apple's version of forced obsolescence to get people to buy their overpriced earbuds every year or so.

I actually had an hour long phone call at the gym yesterday and there was no issues with not being heard. I made sure to ask.

These are impossible to find in stores, and I am trying to not buy from eBay resellers. Reminds me of early days of AirPods.
Walmart.com had mine in a store within 3 days. Check them out :)

If you’re having issues then try going through your cellular carrier. I have Verizon and I got mine in two days. I heard ATT has them in stock.

It depends where you go. I just walked into an Apple store last night and picked up a pair. They had plenty and I can see from the Apple shopping web site they are still available for immediate pickup.

I bought the Beoplay E8 2.0, trust me, the mic is much MUCH worse. A phone call is basically not possible in noisy areas.

I wear glasses, and there is no problem with the Powerbeats. The ear hooks don't even touch the temples (they are designed to sit on your ear lobes). Generally, they sit very securely when exercising and I find them quite comfortable (although obviously not on the same level as the super-light Airpods).

I wish they had slightly better noise isolation (it lets a little more through compared to some other in-ear buds I have, but less than the Airpods). Otherwise I'm quite happy with them. Can't beat the ease of use. Also great to have easy to use volume adjustments.

Lucky. The local Apple Store shows pickup not available until an alarming 26 days from now! :(

I got my Powerbeats pro the day they were released and I can honestly say I am extremely happy with them… The bass is great they fit good and the power is amazingly long I still have not had to power these babies up as I only use them on the weekends for the gym it’s been two weeks and they’re still good battery life left

While they're out of the case, the antennas are active and pinging for a wireless device, even if that device is unavailable, while they wait for the paired device to respond. While they are in the case, closed, the radios are turned off.

This behavior is expected and isn't that ridiculous.

Good point. Also the ear-sensing sensors are on waiting for them to be put into an ear and turn on (I understand they operate this way). So, yeah, of course they drain if you just leave them like that.

Uh no. If I unpair them from my account, they dont ping constantly. The fact that they do that and never enter a real sleep mode when I have them on my account and bluetooth on my phone is off is beyond stupid. And when they're in the case, they're doing the same damn thing and draining the battery of the case in the process. It's moronic design to not allow the user the option to disable this in order to keep the batteries alive a lot longer.

Nope. I turned off ear-sensing. They still drain. A normal pair of bluetooth headphones don't do that, forcing you to constantly be charging them at all times to keep them alive. How are people defending this behavior? All it leads to is the batteries inside the AirPods dying infinitely faster than they should.

It's brilliant design because when in the case it drains 5-10% a day (more than acceptable) and means you never have to turn them on and make sure they pair. It literally, "just works", which is a wonderful throwback to Apples philosophy, and something they've lost track of at times.

The way these PowerBeats Pros work make it the most Apple-like product I've ever used.

Brilliantly designed to destroy the batteries as quickly as possible to ensure users need another pair in 1-2 years. And every other truly wireless earbuds I've used will automatically reconnect as well when pulled out of their cases, but the difference here is when they're in the case at 100 percent they dont continue to drain battery. There is absolutely zero need for Airpods to be draining battery when inside the case. This isn't a case of "just works". This is a case of just works stupidly.

I've Powerbeats3 since they came out for running, now after 2 years it's time finally to upgrade them
I just ordered the Pro, and yes, Its showing me that available for pic up in 07.08.19 in apple store in LV, sucks it's too far :(
