I'm definitely looking forward to the reviews on sound. I use Jaybird now, and they are not good pairing to my watch when out running, especially if I'm also wearing my garmin to record the actual run. Small ears make it so AirPods won't stay in for anything with any movement.

I like the design on these but $250 for headphones, nah! The Jaybird Run wireless headphones look and sound good cost about $180, unfortunately I don't think any headphone is worth more than $130 tops (original Jaybirds) so my free ones will do for now.

Sad at first because I want the blue ones. But then I realized this will let me check out the reviews before buying to make sure the sound quality is decent before dropping so much cash.

I still can't believe they didn't launch these with Wireless Charging...

Many people including me don’t care about wireless charging. Especially for headphones. Would be nice to have, but far from a deal breaker and with Apple they’d probably be $300 headphones then.

It's obviously not a 6. You know how the Apple logo on a MacBook is upside down (from the user's perspective) until you open the lid and then it's right-side up? It's the same with the Powerbeats; Apple expects most athletes to be upside down while wearing these, so they'll display Beats' iconic "9" branding.

LMAO ... yet you do know Apple fixed this back in 2012 right? riiight? As always great rapid visual work!!

It would be nice to get the noise cancelling feature of these - I bet they feel a bit better in the ears too. Still love the compact style of my AirPods.

I had to return my airpods because they fell out as soon as I started running. Tempted to buy these but my experience with Beats in the past have been terrible and these are set at a price point where I can't just say, "I'll give it a shot".

I practise trail running and use airpods on a regular basis. Never had any issue, with sweat or stability.

Apple's Powerbeats Pro, set to launch in May, will only be available in black when they first go on sale. The detail, first noticed by 9to5Mac, was recently added to the Powerbeats Pro listing on the Beats website.

Powerbeats Pro will eventually be available in Ivory, Moss, and Navy alongside the standard Black color, with Apple offering a greater range of colors than are available with the AirPods.

Apple announced the Powerbeats Pro in Early April, positioning the $250 earbuds as an AirPods alternative focused on fitness with included earhooks for keeping them in place and sweat resistance.

Powerbeats Pro offer many of the same features first introduced in the AirPods 2, including an H1 chip for fast connectivity to an iPhone and simple switching between devices, Hey Siri support, and a dedicated charging case, though one without wireless support. Automatic ear detection, microphones for phone calls, and physical buttons are all included with the Powerbeats Pro.

Compared to the AirPods, the Powerbeats Pro offer longer battery life with nine hours of listening time per earbud along with more than 24 hours of additional battery life via the charging case.

Apple says sound was its "highest priority" when developing the Powerbeats Pro, and because these earbuds offer silicone tips that fit in the ears, sound isolation is an included feature.

Powerbeats Pro will be launching in May, though Apple has not provided a specific release date or specified whether preorders will be available. For more on the Powerbeats Pro, make sure to check out our guide.

Grrr I LOATHE the word SOUND by so many members here and across so many other forums for stereo BT Headset limited the use of the word to just the speakers (or hearing).

Sound:
It's both the microphone quality & the speaker quality in the headphones. So it's not just what you're hearing but what the other party on a call is hearing. Moreover I'm concerned about LACK of support for iOS third party applications I'm currently seeing with AirPods and Beats.

- Smule ... a premier front runner app who's lead developer for years got front row seating at WWDC shows (like he's an employee) yet he cannot update to support AirPods or Beats (first party headsets) for microphone use?! #tomfoolery!
- DuoLingo (and similar language training/practice apps ... again no support for AirPods/Beats BT headphones (which both have excellent to decent quality microphone clarity). I've significantly dropped my use of Duolingo the past 4wks due to this as I'd love to use this on the subway on my way home/to gym, interviews, mall, or just for walks!

Why is that hard to believe? AirPods only recently incorporated wireless charging, and based on sales it doesn't seem to have deterred anyone. Plus these are already expensive enough as it is without adding more features.

How hard is it to launch all four colours at launch? The FCC approved all four colours.

Why are they holding back? Will this create more demand later or just piss people off?

I want the ivory!

Black is the color I wanted anyway. I’m going to be keeping a close eye on these so I can buy as soon as they’re available.

I seriously need to upgrade from my AirPods.. I wonder how convenient these will be. The AirPods fit in any pocket and takes a few seconds to take out and put in the ear.

The longer battery time is interesting for me as my AirPods are not even pushing an hour anymore. These with up to 9 hours will be good for when training and running a marathon.
