The whole world is at it...

Engineered for the creative class? That is SOOO Richard Florida . . .

clearing stock

If 1.8 2.0 and 2.5 are correct, and the ram offer is still good for 1.8 and 2.0 then WWDC may indeed see another bump. 3.0?

Damn, stil £1499 for dual 1.8. They may of course be offering a single 1.8 as a BTO.

Or maybe Apple hasn't got a clue either. That may explain the mixup over the graphics for the Belgium store.

They really put the crappy Nvidea card inside !!! I can't believe that !!!
Why that. What the helll.

I'm not being negative because I've gone past that stage, it's only a computer when all is said and done but I find it all a bit underwhelming really, I have this "12 months and this is it" feeling, I can't buy yet anyway because the new screens aren't here yet and AppleCare only covers the screen for three years if it was bought at the same time as the CPU ...

The stores are back up!

Slight increase in price - for the top of the line model, but very nice systems... interestingly in Australia, the top 2.5GHz dualie is still subject to agency approval ;)

Anyone notice that the internal shots of the new G5s on apple's site do not match the supposed new ones in the service manual from last week?

Hmmm, what's that about?

Well it is bad, why no x800pro or GT6800non ultra/ ultra????????

STEV what are you thinking?

Well, it looks like the cards are still DVI and ADC. Assuming rumours of the new displays using the standard DVI only, then in future Mac graphics cards will not require the ADC port.

I imagine there's quite a lead-time involved in getting nVIDIA/ATI to produce their cards with Apple's proprietary ADC connector. In future, when ADC isn't required, they'll be able to get their latest and greatest cards ready for the Mac in a much prompter fashion.

(all speculation, of course).

Anyway, just gonna check my bank balance, and all being well, I'm getting a couple of Airport Expresses :)

Crappy upgrade if you ask me.

- Prices went up (in Belgium anyway)
- Crappy video (and a very steep upgrade price for a 9800xt which is EOL anyway)
- same ram as before
- no change in standard storage
- no airport as standard
- no bluetooth as standard
- still no display change

I think Apple could have done better.

Not bad. £2199 for 2.5GHz model (cheaper in uk than previous dual 2GHz. Yesterday a dual 1.8 cost £2200. Today it costs £1449. Cool.
