Argh! My Air Jacket arrived one day after my new plus but they sent the wrong size. Invoice marked plus. I think I read that this has happened to others.

These don't really look like they offer much drop protection. What's their purpose?

Scratch protection and to keep the look of the phone.

The drop protection comes as a separate accessory - it's called a brain. Don't drop your phone, problem solved.

These types of cases are mainly for scratch protection and to give the phone more grip, or a better grip, since the iPhone is very slippery this time around.

Accidents do happen sometimes though, no matter how careful we are with our gadgets. Drops occur.

Does anyone have a picture of the clear case on the space grey phone? Thinking about that combo with a Zagg glass screen protector.

Edit: Also, does dust get in behind the case? I really like the clear, but don't want to see dirt/dust on the back of my phone...

These cases offer tons of drop protection. It would take a significant drop to penetrate a 1mm thick price of plastic. I drop my power supper cases all the time and I've even dropped it from 6 feet o to concrete several times. These do offer drop protection especially when paired with a good screen protector.

Just got mine from Apple, but haven't opened it yet. Does it have a lip on the front? I also got the Zagg glass.

Just got my Air Jacket direct from Power Support for my gold plus. I got the clear matt. Just love it. The matt retains the look of the gold back perfectly. Good grip after going naked/ slippery for a few days. No sqeeking as some have reported.
Takes a bit of strength to remove but easy if you follow instructions. I watched video posted on this thread before I even tried.
I have a glass screen protector so not worried about the lack of lip. Much prefer it to the AJ Force from Apple.
Simplicity at its best

Absolutely, the higher than normal lip is what people buy the air jacket from Apple for. :D

Good to know. I can't decide if it offer enough protection or if I should get the Tech21...I need this mainly so it can handle a toddler playing with it. I think the Tech21 would be better for that. I had a Lifeproof on my 5s which was great, just haven't ordered the new one yet.

those using the no lip version from ps, how much pocket lint gets into the case?
I would like to know also as this will play a big part on which colour I choose, I thought I was set on rubber black, saw it on sons 6+ SG and now not so sure I like the black.

If you are a little ocd like myself and hate little dust particles in the back of your case , get the black one or matte clear .

Sadly, I hate seeing all the lint at the top of my case. But it happens with all cases not just this case.

The problem is, this case is very difficult to remove, so removing it once a week just to clean it, is time consuming and you risk bending your iPhone due to the amount of force required to remove the PS.

I've gone back to the Apple leather case, although it collects lint, it's much easier to remove in order for me to clean it.

This only happens to hard plastic case, clear cases with soft edge are much better, I have been using i basin for 2 weeks, no noticeable lints inside

Couple questions for those with the Air Jacket for the iPhone 6, specifically the non force version (force version people feel free to answer too though):

1) Does the phone snap into the case easily or is it pretty tough to click it in? I have an AJ for my touch 5G and it snapped jnto the case surprisingly easy which was a pleasant surprise and the case is rock solid tight.

2) Has taking the case off given you ANY scratches on the phone whatsoever (especially interested in those with space gray phones)? Or, has the lint that got inside left scratches on the phone?

Phone snaps in pretty easily, not particularly hard at all. I've been using the Black Rubber one on my 6 for quite a number of weeks now and really love it. It does however have a few little creaks here and there when i give it a loving squeeze but otherwise it's a solid case. I've had the Force version Clear before this and preferred the non-force due to it's smaller lip and less bulky-ness

I've taken off the case a few times now and have not noticed any scratches on the back/sides of my space grey 6.

Hope that helps.

Easy to snap in. I've taken it off 3-4 times and haven't gotten any scratches (and I have Space Gray). No evidence that any lint/dust has caused damage. I have some around the lip but none any further inside.

Have you guys noticed a rainbow effect when the back of the case is hit by light at a certain angle? It happens on my Clear Matte and Smoke cases.

The Air Jacket sold from Apple has a really tall lip that ruined the feel of the 6+. It was also hard to remove and I ended up breaking the case. Apple still took the return and I ordered the non-force version from Power Support's website. No lip, which is perfect.
