I currently have a 14 Pro. Waiting to see the specs on the 17 Pro. If underwhelming, I’ll hold off for the 18 Pro.

Really wanted to get the air but if it ends up being the large screen only it kind of defeats the purpose for me.

I was hoping the air could satisfy me with the lack of mini phones but maybe not. Who knows maybe I just grab a 16e and call it a day.

I am not. Will review when I get to see it, but the rumors so far show nothing of interest, except maybe the so called light model everybody is assuming will be called an 'Air'.

Im pretty sure the weight will be about the same as last year's phone. Why? Because they made them apparently thicker this year. At least that's what leaks say. I'm not a professional and not into this topic, but I can't imagine that titanium vs Aluminum makes such a big difference?

To no one's surprise, the 16s cannot be purchased on Apple's website anymore. I am really hoping that the 17 Pro is improved battery life and 8-10X optical zoom.

In the US I can still order the 16, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. But there’s only 3-4 stores that keep stock on hand for various configurations. Some configurations show up as shipping only.

I still don’t get the point of the Air. Unless it’s just to telegraph a foldable is coming?

What really baffles me is so many complain about Apple being obsessed with thinness yet not one Apple centric podcast I listen to has anything negative to say about this rumored device. Even though they all know there’s going to have to be trade-offs with the camera and especially battery all in the name of thinness. Why is that an OK thing now?

This is a very difficult question, out of all these junk iPhones the only one interest me is iPhone 17 Air. My last iPhone was iPhone 12 mini

I guess Apple is just betting on there being people who want a thin and light phone with a large display and don't mind the lower specs. I'm one of them. I'd much rather have a lighter phone than a Plus that is almost as chunky as a Max while still getting the spec downgrade.

I think because it's just different. yeah it has its tradeoffs, but at first will likely have the wow factor. id guess just like the c1 modem in the 16e this is just a test for the foldable next year. if you upgrade year over year its no big deal with the battery honestly. the rumored battery capacity is roughly the same as the 14 pro. not great, but manageable.

I can't decide on the Air or PM. I'll likely buy both and return one just in case I cannot make my mind up and physically need to hold the Air.

Not for day 0 for sure, curious to see the Air in hand to decide if I jump or not. My expectation is that given that is thinner, one hand handling should be less bad than a regular 16/17.

After seeing the battery specs leaked I’m edging back towards pro

15 pro to 17 pro … if I don’t jump to max …

Still can't see a reason to upgrade from my 14PM. The only thing that would tempt me is a marked improvement to Apple Intelligence.
