The camera is very important to me, so probably another PM. The Air is intriguing as I find the PM too heavy/bulky, but can't give up the large screen and specs. If the Air even comes close I'd strongly consider it.

I think I am looking at the 17 Air, many features/specs have been leaked but I am just hoping the camera quality is as good as the 16 pro I have now. I know the wide lens will be gone, I do not use that much anyway.

A little off topic, the back of my iPhone 16 pro max has a small crack. I am on the IUP program, can I upgrade without fixing it right now and just pay the AC+ fee or do I need to get fixed before?

I have a 16 Pro and no plans on getting a new phone any time soon but if I had to buy a 17 series phone it would be the 17e next year. I am so sick of big and heavy phones.

14ProMax to 17ProMax. I'm tired of needing Lightning for only one device in my house. USB-C is actually a key motivator but I don't feel like just going for a 15 or 16, might as well get the 17 and keep it for a long while.
That's a sensible choice consolidating charging ports to USB-C.

The same possible motivation for me to upgrade my 14 PM: after buying airpods 4 in july, 14PM is the only one with lightning.

Definitely upgrading from 15PM to 17PM, looking forward to the anti-reflective screen and should be an overall lighter device with the aluminium frame (and less heat).

I wanted to downsize to Pro but of course when I finally decide to do that, now there’s rumors that Apple is returning to their occasional “Pro Max gets exclusive camera advantages”

I have 16 Pro Max and do Max basically every year but I’m tired of the size. But the one thing that will always stop me from downsizing is if there’s better cameras on the Max. So oh well, guess I’ll get the big Max again this year.
