Me: I have a question regarding the iPhone 4S that was released today. I know it said that the preorder was for Friday but do you know what time on Friday?

Apple Rep: 12:01am PST

Get ready!
 
And, like every time they have done this, the site will crash and no one will be able to get through for around 5 hours.

Question is, pre-order on Friday or wait until Tuesday (the 11th) and see what this new Android 4.0 phone will be like and hope the 4S won't be sold out (if that's possible).

The question really is do you want a new iPhone or not? If you wait until Tuesday you won't be getting one for a while.

Could you by any chance ask them if the pre-order is just for the countries getting the 4S on the 14th or even for countries getting them on the 28th?

I'm not sure but you can chat with an Apple representative online and ask them!
 
You can always pre-order it, and if you dont like it take it back to apple store and get your money back--simple!

Or wait and do like Im going to do and camp out the night before to be first ones in line for the phone!! Going to be a fun night--Ill have alot of "Spirits" with me :D:D
 
Realistically, if I wait until 6 or 7 AM on Friday is that going to be too late to secure a unit for launch day? Or do I need to be at my computer refreshing like a maniac at 12:01 AM Pacific on Thursday?

The maniac part... they will be all gone by 6.

Is it 12:01 EST or PST? Ive heard both.
 
So once again nobody knows if we can pre order and then pick up in store like we did with the 4
 
Eh. I ordered my i4 around 4pm eastern the day it went up for pre-order and got in on the back end of the first batch of phones that went out from AT&T.

No real need to make a point to stay up til 3am to order this thing. Demand will be big, but I doubt it will be iPhone 4 big.
