I bought the white phone for the 4s because I had a black one ever since the original iphone came out and wanted a change of pace. I'm a professional athlete and really enjoyed the white phone along with a bunch of my team mates. Try calling one of them girly for having a white phone and they will re-arange your face.:D

Curiosity is definitely an obsession.....you are right. We are on a forum about iphones. This thread was brought about by another user inquiring about a black or white iphone, which sparked my curiosity. I mostly see woman with white iphone and wanted to see how the forums compare. Like others pointed out though, most users on the forums are male, so the poll was not done right.

Haha if I had the money I would do!

On a serious note though, i've always wanted to get a white iphone. But, looking at the leaks, the black one looks much smarter. So i'll probably go with black.
 
"once you go black, you don't go back." every iPhone i have had has been black and i intended to keep it that way.

However going a different route with my girlfriend this time and getting her a white one as having two of the same color phones with the same case doesn't work.
 
I switch around... My 3GS was black, iPhone 4 was white, and so now my iPhone 5 will be black.

Also, I only liked the white last generation for my iPhone 4 because it looked "new" versus the black iPhone 4 (as it came out much later). However, either color for the iPhone 5 will look "new" as it is a new phone.

Although, there is the possiblity that if iPhone 5 doesn't "wow" me, that I let my brother take my iPhone 5 upgrade, take his iPhone 4S and go to Boost Mobile - $35/month everything unlimited on Sprint Networks - can't complain at all!

Agreed. I wouldn't order both then go through the hassle of returning one.

It would be nice if you could see them before launch day in the stores.

ADDITIONAL: I was not even interested in the white iPhone 4 when it was shown... I knew I wanted the black, so when the white version was delayed, I did not care. Later on, when it was released and I finally saw one in person. I liked it a whole lot more than my black iPhone 4. So... seeing them in person makes a difference sometimes.

At least it did for me.

3G/3GS looked best in black, 4/4S looks equally good in either color, and iPad looks best in black. Black compliments the aluminum better, so I'm leaning toward black for the new iPhone.
 
I will go back to black if the band is black like in the renders. if the band is metal colored on both the black and white phones ill stick with white.

I'm a girl and I hate the white. Mainly because it just doesn't look like a clean, pristine white to me. Has a yellowish cast.

What about white MacBooks (iBooks), 20GB iPods? Any other apple product before the iPhone came out?? How about the iMac? I have said this before, did males just not use Apple products before 2007? Because last time I checked, a lot of Apple's products were white before the iPhone.

color change is something that changes with time. Look at HDTV's....when they first came out most were silver, now most are black. People have a choice now and I simply want to see what group of people choose white over black. When I personally see people with a white iphone, it is mostly woman. People get offended so easily on here lol. How do you survivor in the world?

I have used both phone 4 black and iPhone 4s white.

I would say black all the way :)
