I want to see the muppets who'll spend a grand on a 256 GB iPhone if it comes to that. $700 I can see through financing, which is the logical option, but a grand which would likely require downpayment regardless of customer and or credit status.

Less demand for new iPhone 7, higher the price hike will be! Make up for profit margin on total sales! Got to cover Apple's overhead - Apple Store! music streaming service, etc...

I must be one of those "muppets" then, but I'll buy unlocked from Apple on day 1, here in the UK.

Well I will buy it, Cant wait for a 256gb iPhone.

This i my input on the subject:

Apple isn't a "decrease-price-kind-of-company"

I would say, that base models would increase from 16 to 32 GB without increased price. In that way, it will me more affordable to people. 16 GB just doesn't cut it anymore.

As someone said...Apple should stop stackpiling their money, and invest them in better products, at human pricetags. "We love our customer" as Tim allways says...be he should be saying: "We love our customer, if you got the wallet for it. We charge premium-prices for medium-quality devices"

Don't get me wrong...i should probably get a tatoo over my a.-.h.o.l.e "Property of Apple", cause i love them. I would never buy an Android. But they need to start thinking straight again (that's NOT a gayjoke btw) and really start running Apple like Steve did. Quality. Quality. Quality.

That's my 2 cents about it...

Sorry, there isn't a chance in hell Apple bumps the phone from 16GB to 32GB AND lowers the price. Bean counter Tim is already having a heart attack at the loss of margins going to 32GB.
loss margins? Do you even know the pricing increase of 16gb to 32gb in china, when it comes to manufacturing? guess?

Yep, I'm betting on price increase as well. If we see 256GB I believe we will see a $150 price increase between unites.

iPhone 7:
$649 - 32GB
$799 - 128GB
$949 - 256GB
iPhone 7+:
$749 - 32GB
$899 - 128GB
$1049 - 256GB

The only units that won't increase in cost are the base.
I doubt they'll make each jump $150. They've always been $100 increase per tier, and I feel a lot of people would stick with the smaller sizes rather than pay an extra $150. I plan on getting the middle tier if it's $749, but if it's $799, then I'll stick with 32gb and save myself the $150 per phone.

It was always $100 with iPad, now its $150.

So this is my guess of pricing after the iPhone 7 launch.

Prices this Fall will be:
SE: $399 (as it is priced now)
6S: $499 (+$100 for plus ) (+50 to go to 64gb, maybe plus starts at 64gb)
7: $599 (+$100 for plus which comes with dual camera) (+100 gets you 128gb storage in both sizes)

iPhone 6 gets discontinued. This helps Apple down the road with phasing out support for the A8 processor.
It's always fun to dream.

Wow. You're right. I could be totally off base then. I haven't considered an iPad since I bought my iPad 4 because it still can't do anything my phone can't do. I'm clearly not their target demographic because I have zero interest in upgrading my iPad until it can start functioning as a computer, and it seems positively absurd that anyone would pay an extra $300 to add 200gb of storage to a device where you don't even have access to the file system.

But again, I'm probably not representative of the general population. I also think it's ridiculous that they upped the price of the iPad by $50 for the base model simply because they tagged on the "Pro" name. It's just marketing if you call all your devices "Pro" but you don't have a non-pro model. Why don't they just rename them again "iPad Super Duper Awesome Pro Status Extreme Much Better Than Anything Else Top Shelf Amazing Edition" and raise the price again?

Am I the only one who sometimes tries to do things on my iOS devices but ends up having to go to a PC because it simply won't work on an iPhone or an iPad?

Yes, I guess I'm a dreamer on the cheaper prices. But sometimes dreams come true.

I sometimes use my iPad first because my Air 2 is faster than my iMac 2011. And I can lean back in my chair with the iPad on my lap to read an email. Of course typing a response takes longer, but sometimes I'm just reading attachments off of an email.

Samsung has been increasing the msrp prices on their Galaxy phones.

I remember msrp for att model was $549 for the Galaxy S3. This was 2013.

Apple raised the msrp for iPhone 4 around April 2011(from$599 to $649) which was weird since iPhone 4 has been out since June 2010.

Anyway. The msrp price of the Galaxy s7 for att is $694 now.

I suspect a price increase for the iPhone especially with them leaving the 64gb model and going from 32gb to 128gb to $799 like one of the posters said. And the plus model will have $100 price point difference.
