After 5.0.1 beta was released, we should expect public one soon there after and a week after th 5.0.1 goes public, untethered JB should be released.
After the recent news about holes in 5.0, it seems likely that an untethered jailbreak will arrive sooner rather than later.

They told us to stay on 5.0 and not update to 5.0.1 so maybe us 5.0 users will get a untethered jailbreak soon.

The date timeframe for the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0 is now November 14 to November 23. If I am correct, please quote this.

We are currently in the month of September. This poll provides choices of November or December, for the people who thinks it could be released in either month, the option before the end of 2011 fits them.
In this context end of 2011 and December do not necessarily mean the same thing. Any more questions?
Nope, no one has announced any timeframe for anything. If anyone said it would be between the 14th and 23rd, it was pure conjecture.
what about those who are still in 4.0? how will they go about going to 5.0? isn't the signing window closed already? are they gonna put a workaround on getting to 5.0 for jb users who are still in 4.0? what is this "nonce" thing?
Good question. It's possible you might be screwed..... although probably not for very long. I have a feeling that once they finally release the 5.0 JB, it will take a lot less time to JB 5.0.1 than it took to JB 5.0.
If 5.0.1 can't be JB with the same exploit as 5.0, there likely won't be another JB until 5.1
They can't just keep wasting exploits for .0.1 releases like that, too much time and work to satisfy a very small number of users.
Cant wait for the untethered to finally come. I check this forum about 25 times a day now, i was on 4.3.3 jailbroken until there was only that last chance to update to ios5 and im really missing iblacklist, sbsettings and vwallpaper, and being able to chance my sms balloon color.

I'm also betting that before thanksgiving we'll get untethered on iPhone 4. Not sure about the iP4s, though.. might not be ready for broadway.
