Its all speculation but I agree - if it's going to be longer, devs will need to potentially pull their pending updates from the store.
Still going with Tuesday (and picturing some serious regression testing going on this weekend lol).

so it took a long time for my request for software update on my apple watch app to say i was up to date...maybe coming soon?!

Predicting 1-2 weeks. That's not very long in the grand scheme of things, and counts as "soon" relative to how long twice they announced it. They do need to figure out the fix and then do thorough testing.

Ouch! The one card I do have on my watch still works (AFAIK) and I don't need to add another one (Thank God!). Apple really flubbed this one big time. I find iOS 9 to be even buggier than iOS 8 which is saying somethin'. For instance, when I try to see if WOS2 is available yet in the AW app on my iPhone 6 running iOS9, I get "you are not connected to the internet." I work in a basement office so I assumed the wifi wasn't working again (a not uncommon issue in our building) and only when I got outside and got the same message for LTE did I suspect a problem on At&t's end (a not uncommon problem all over their service area) so I called them and wasted 20 minutes punching 1 for this 2 for that and pounding # only to find out that yes there is an outage in the Detroit area but guess what? I started getting emails while on the phone with tech support. This led me to thank them, end the call and go try the AW app again. It STILL said "no internet connection" despite my internet connection over LTE working just fine.

Orange may be the new Black, but Apple is the new Microsoft!

Try restarting your Watch and iPhone, as I had the same error saying that I wasn't connected to the internet, but I restarted both devices, and the error went. Now it just says that the software is up to date.

I noticed the same thing and even thought that it was going to be the update. It may just be that so many are checking at the same time though.

Putting a major release out on a Friday is never a good idea..

true but it should have been out on wednesday so they will release it whenever its ready regardless if its friday and not a good idea because its the weekend.

its gonna have bugs still and they can work on fixing them in 2.0.1

There are people working at Apple 24/7 I am sure when delays happen and deadlines missed. The weekend probably won't matter.
I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong! But I think they'll take the weekend to hammer the regression testing and push it out next week - assuming they've actually fixed it by now.

I'm hoping it comes soon because my notifications are very inconsistent now. I was looking forward to this more than iOS.

I was too. Hell, I shouldn't complain...I'm running the GM. It's great. Battery life is excellent. Looking forward to those native apps and 3rd party complications and tetherless wifi.

tim cook is probably having the watchOS team work overtime to get this resolved.

fingers crossed today is the day!

After the bug is found and fixed it still needs to go to qa and possibly release management. I'm not hopefull

i just hope they dont release another 2.0 GM next week to developers or a 2.1 beta and leave us stuck on 1.0.1 for longer.
