UPDATE: Yesterday after my first order was cancelled, premier support told me it was a mistake and just place another order, so I did. All was well until 6PM on the dot tonight I get the email that that order was cancelled too. RIGHT AS PREMIER CARE GOES HOME FOR THE DAY.

Now I will have no iphone until at least mid July, thanks to these incompetent dumba**es at AT&T. THANKS ALOT. Had the order cancelled right away like the first one did I could have tried apple or something else, but this one went right to processing like all was well.

That's a bummer man, I wonder why it would be canceled twice like that? Any chance it's a credit check issue or eligibility?

Did you check the order status using your cell phone number to see if any duplicate orders showed up?

no, none of that is an issue, as was even confirmed by the phone rep with Premier.

It gets better. Premier rep said it was cancelled because the system decided I wasn't upgrade eligible. I had checked AT&T and apples systems which both said I was and showed $199 pricing and the pricing was $199 on the order. I give up.

I'm starting to suspect something fishy.

Once, I waited all day for cable repair service. I called, and they claimed I wasn't home. They were busted because not only was I home, I have a 24/hr. doorman.

This reeks of that same lie. It seems that based on the seemingly legit accounts and eligibility like your's, AT&T is blaming the customers for their own errors in-house. They didn't see this wave of orders coming, and to deal with it, they are knocking legitimate orders off of the roster, claiming it's your account that's problematic.

This is a little bit of a conspiracy theory, but how else does one explain the repetitive claims of people who know that they qualified for an upgrade and/or are existing customers with the same account info? If they're doing something that shady, it will come back to haunt them.

I assumed it was an isolated incident, but this wave of cancellations concerns me now. I ordered on 6/15 at 5am EST, and have a confirmation number, but no email yet. My order status shows "In progress." If it's cancelled due to some odd reason, fine. I just won't order from them, and when the iPhone is on Verizon, I'll switch. I won't cry over it, but they should have a legit reason, and the people whose orders have been cancelled so far...nothing seems legit.

E.g. Why not CONTACT the customer BEFORE canceling? Why not call or at least send an email to have you verify something before pushing you out of the line in one swoop?

That's the problem with being the monopoly service provider of the most wanted cellphone.

my order was cancelled TWO DAYS after i initially ordered on the premier site at Tue, Jun 15, 2010 at 1:47 AM (PST). i was on vacation, so i didn't continuously check the order status. but i received an email on Thu, Jun 17, 2010 at 6:51 PM stating that my order was cancelled because they "could not verify your address and, as a precaution, your order was cancelled."

TWO DAYS AFTER. at that point, att had closed their pre-orders and apple pre-orders were backed up 'til july.

anyone know what the hell that means? i called premier customer service the next morning and no one could tell me why my order was cancelled. i spoke to two supervisors. until the finally "escalated" my complaint to the "main office"... i got an "escalation number" and was told that i should hear back within 24-48 hours. well... if you take out the weekend it's been 3.5 business days.

all together i've spent about 4 hours on hold or on the phone w/ various representatives and no one can connect me to the person that was assigned to my case.

ANYONE else have these issues? either with the "unverified" address issue or with the "escalated" pre-order issue?

And to think many Premier people laughed at me when I said I cancelled my order and was just going to go with my reservation.... Some people on these boards are terrible people and karma catches up.
