Strangest pre-order experience I’ve ever had with Apple.

The app didn’t open up for me until 3:19 Eastern time. I ended up with a 2-3 week delivery.

I was able to get a “reservation” via the web site, and I got an email 3 hours later saying they still haven’t contacted my carrier on that one. I see what happens with that one. I’ll keep whichever order has the earlier ship date.
 
The Apple Store app didn't open for me until 6 minutes after, but then it went quickly and I got my conformation email by 7 minutes after. Those 6 minutes were pretty frantic though, as you can tell by the warning I got from my Watch...

the worst preorder to date, but it's probably Sprint's fault, up a 2:45am Eastern, tried for 1 hour 15 min on iphone, ipad, macbook (safari and chrome), and no luck. Just chalked it up to, "guess it wasn't meant to be" went out for a 5 miles run, tried the app and was able to finally make an order: 2 optionsL ship date of Dec. 12th or Store pick up Nov. 3rd at 2pm...picked store pick up. 5:30am Eastern order time, email confirmation of reservation

Store opened around 3:03 for me and I had an email from Apple by 3:06. Existing IUP user with pre approval was only 3 button clicks on the App Store and then TouchID. That was it.
 
iOS App worked for me around 8:03 uk time. Only scare I had was when it came up with an error, cos it had incorrect info for my telephone number on my account! But quickly corrected and it went through within 1 minute for a 3rd Nov delivery 😀
 
This one was strange for me as the Apple Store app on both my iPhone and iPad wouldn't load until ~3:20.

At the same time I was refreshing the page in Safari on a Mac, and it came up at ~3:06. Did an order via favourites & Apple Pay, was quite quick, got Nov 3. Right after that I went back to the page and it was showing 2-3 weeks.
 
That was the easiest iPhone order ever for me. Got in at 3:02, done by 3:04, for Nov 3rd (allegedly). Smooth as butter, even ATT's end of things didn't F up.
 
ATT.com let me in at about 2:47 EST! I was planning to use the Apple App but that wasn't working. Not planning to use ATT.com I fumbled around for about 5 minutes and completed my order at 2:52. Delivery 11/3. Worked out fine.

Worst pre-order for me. Still got what I wanted (sliver, 256, AT&T) for launch day but the app was slow to come up- 3:03am for me and I received that silly your phone has been reserved Email.

Kept trying and the app wouldnt let me order because my phone was ‘reserved’. I guess the att servers came up finally and I was able to order. Received my confirmation at 3:06. Very glitchy conpared to previous pre- orders. But all’s well that ends well I guess.
 
I had my typical setup going, iPhone app, iPad app and surface pro on the Apple website. Started refreshing all devices at 3am EDT, iPhone app unlocked at 3:03a, placed my wife’s order (64gb silver, ATT) and got the confirmation email and Amex charge at 3:05a. iPad app and surface pro on the Apple website were still down, so I went back into the iPhone app and ordered mine (64gb silver, ATT). Second device confirmation and Amex email both came at 3:07a. Both ship dates 11/3. This was, for me, one of the smoothest launch orders I’ve done. I will add, when I went to bed at 3:20a EDT, the iPad app and Apple website on my surface pro 4 we’re both still down for me. Only had luck on the iPhone app.

Completed the order on the Apple Store app about 12:05, and that included eligibility confirmation with AT&T. My email was sent at 12:06am. 🙂
 
Didn't realize preorder opened early with VZW App and website until a friend told me it was open. 256am tried to place the order, finished after 3am because the app kept on giving me errors. Received email 315am.

256 SG 11/3 delivery
 
Got in on the Apple Store App at 2:02 on my iPhone. Had my confirmation email for 64GB Space Grey AT&T to be delivered 11/3 at 2:07. It took me awhile to squint through the tiny text on my phone! Next time I think I will just stick to the iPad! My eyes don’t work so well at that time of the morning!
 
Ordered via Apple Store app, got a 256GB Silver AT&T with a 11/3 devilry date. Order was completed at 3:06 email received at 3:07.
 
Order completed at 7 after. Would have been earlier but there was an address problem I had to fix for some reason despite the fact I confirmed everything prior to the store going down.

actually thought of exactly that happening while pre-ordering. heart rate went up quite a bite but I guess I've missed the mark 🙂
 
I was such a noob. This was my first time and for some reason the app didn’t work so I had to jump online. Didn’t get much sleep so went to the American Apple instead of the Canadian one. At this point I am fully on tilt and stressing out that I messed up the whole pre order. I get to Apple.ca get my 256 black in my cart with a nov 3 ship date. All of the sudden none of my shipping info is in there. Quickly put it in and checked out 7 minutes later with a Nov 20-November 27 shipping date.

Which is fine, congrats to all those who got a Nov 3 Date!
 
app store open up 3:03AM done in 1 minute, 3:05 received email conformation, nov 3rd ship date.
Shout out to who ever gave the tip about favorites in the app. I still had to input my shipping address , but that wasn't a problem.
 
Was quitting and launching the app, and refreshing the store in my browser. App stopped showing the "Come back later" message around 3:08 a.m. Browser still showed come back later until about 3:10 a.m. Placed the order through the app and got a Nov 3rd delivery date.
Credit card company sent an email flagging a fraudulent transaction. Grr! Approved it, went to the site, to update / reprocess the order. That worked and it still shows a Nov 3rd date. Still not confirmation email, but I see the order on the site and in the app as in progress.
 
Was trying to order off of my iPhone and iPad at the same time. Apple Store app on the iPhone opened up first @3:06 however then it got stuck at the carrier screen so I started trying the iPad and was able to successfully complete the order at 3:10.
