Lucky you! I ordered around 4:00 pm (EST) on 3/7 and it's still "Preparing for Shipment"... I'm so nervous! If it doesn't arrive on Friday, my whole body's gonna explode.

And for the conversation on the previous page, the status on the page changed before I got an email from apple, so frantically checking the page was well worth it and I can go back to doing actual work now.

Mines getting shipped using UPS, I can't tell where its leaving from as my tracking number doesn't work right now.

Me neither. I know it will be here on the 16th. Nonetheless, I want that tracking number. Every time my email pings I get excited ... then disappointed.

I think that the number is just not yet in the system. My tracking number doesn't work yet either.
the tracking number is not working yet anyway.. i doubt it will kick in until either tonight or tomorrow morning
when i was a bit younger, i worked at UPS loading the trucks and we had these little scanners that we were suppose to scan each package with. i imagine that's when the numbers get entered into the system and online, but they may process and update everything online only several times a day and not on the fly

A FedEx employee stole my iPad 2 last year and with the backlog in China the replacement didn't ship until May (unsurprisingly, they went with UPS that time). Screw Fedex.
I've had much better experiences with Fedex than UPS, infact when given a choice, I choose regular snail mail over UPS.
I just got a Shipment Notification email. It says it left Apple on March 12th and I'll receive it March 16th.

I ordered as soon as the store was up after the announcement, and I live about an hour away from Toronto.
