Mine switched to Preparing for Shipment sometime between 6 and 10pm. Ordered at 3:45pm on the 7th. Non-engraved, 32GB 4G Black in the GTA.

prepared for shipment switched today after ordered 32gb wifi 2 hrs after keynote but next morning I called customer service and switched to 32 Gb 4G LTE. I guess the more I thought about LTE speeds might as well give a try and wifi antenna is supposed to be better with these models, another plus us I don't want to be committed to contract plans as iPhones are.

Looks like most of the Canadian preorders are preparing for shipment now. At least those that got in on the first batch. Next step is when we start seeing shipped status.

Mine as I said is preparing to ship, but the rogers sim i gpt with it is still processing. Hope it doesn't delay it.

I really don't need to own an iPad 1, iPad 2, Playbook, and an iPad 3 but I'm pretty sure I'll be lining up at the local Futureshop (hangs head in shame).

:D

Lol, that's an awesome fleet of tablets. I'm glad to know someone else has my sickness. :)

I believe the SIM will ship separately from somewhere here is Ontario and you will likely get it a day or two before the iPad. That's how it worked in 2010 when I pre-ordered the iPad 1.

I just spoke with Apple. They advised me that the reason some orders are still "Processing Items" is because they are not engraved. The ones that are "Preparing for Shipment" or "Shipped" are (for the most part) engraved, therefore shipping from China. Whereas non-engraved units are already in warehouses in Canada and will start moving next week. Zone 1 will receive their orders on the 16th barring any unforeseen shipping delays (weather, etc.).

That makes a lot of sense.

Mine is White 64Gb 4G switched to preparing for shipping yesterday.
I live in Calgary, Can't wait

Preparing for shipment as of yesterday here too, 64 GB Black wifi ordered on Weds. Been waiting two years to get this damn thing!!

Same here!

I ordered nw without a SIM as I hadn't decided which of the 3 should have the privilege of picking my pocket every month. I decided to go with Telus so I went to an Apple Store in Vancouver (i was in town for a convention), and they gave me one for free on the spot. Those guys are great!

Yet i remember when i bought the first gen pad 3G i didn't took a micro sim, went there a week later and they gave me one no questions ask :) I already have a micro sim in my ipad right now but i don't think it's compatible with lte.

Mine has been preparing for shipment for 2-3 days now. I guess what the poster said a few pages back about non-engraved already being in warehouses in Canada must be true. Sucks that I'm flying to Calgary on Thursday and will be back on Sunday. Hopefully it delivers on the 16th at work so I can go get it on Sunday.

Did everyone else in Canada get an initial estimate of 16-20th like I did for delivery or did some get a firm 16th? I'm in Whitehorse so that may be why I got a lame range. I ordered by 2pm PST on the 7th so early, early. I got through right when Apple reopened the store after first taking it back down because it was crashing like crazy.

My apple TV is still processing but was only guaranteed to ship on the 16th not to deliver so I guess will get that at the end of the next week (23rd or so).

Took me a while, but I finally got mine through :D

@u2hibby: Look at my attached photo...you'll see the delivery dates there for certain zones.

WTF!, just saw this map. Why is the Yukon in zone 5? We get way more daily cargo shipments both road and air than the NWTs. Why would northern BC be any more likely to get the ipad than us. Hell the most northern BC is only accessible via road from Whitehorse so I call BS on this stupid map. We will see when I get mine in Whitehorse. This map implies 21-22nd but that is BS.

Order Shipped!!

I just got an email confirming my ipad has been shipped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone know how long it will take to get here??

I got the same email here in windsor ontario. If you look at the i for shipped march 12 get it march 16 in my email. Chya getting mine friday!

Hope it comes sooner!!! Weird that we are getting it on time since we are in zone 4. But im not complaining!

Mine (non engraved) to Toronto just changed to "Shipped". What are the chances that we might get it a day early????

Very slim. Apple specifically tells the couriers to hold the package for delivery until release date, so unless someone screws up and sends your order to delivery early, you'll get it Friday.

Does it provide any shipping information, yet? I'm interested if the non-engraved are shown as shipping from China or some more local warehouse.
