Yes, considered by "some kids still in school", where school often begins the first Monday of September. But adults often just use that calendar thingy to decide.

I feel like people are intentionally going to break their iPhones somehow, or loosen buttons, just so they can get a white replacement.
I want one. Not because it is new or anything like that but because they said they moved the proximity sensor. Thank God or whoever.
Now between Verizon getting the phone a couple months ago and the white iphone just coming out, I can believe the release of the Iphone 5 is delayed. They don't want to hurt those sales.

I find these complaints about the iPhone 4
a complete mystery. I don't keeping in a case, carry it around in my pocket. It's never dropped a call, it's never 'face dialed', it doesn't have any scratches on it. Judging from the continuing volume of of iPhone 4 sales I have to conclude that my experience with it is closer to normal than others.

Well, good for you and spouse! It did not work out so well for me though: having exchanged it with the Geniuses, it still facedials like crazy, and I have a feeling I am not alone, in fact, I know others whose 4's do exactly the same...
So, my point is that "as a mobile phone" it is a piece of crap, as it is a half-baked product, released without proper QC, nothing new for Apple. A piece of crap, now available in white!
As a PDA it is better than my 3GS, only marginally so.
Good for you. I do not find these complaints about the 4 a complete mystery, and most others I know who own one just had to "live with it" being crappy as a it is.
How exactly does it do this? I've had mine less than a month and have no issues like this. For it to even attempt to 'facedial', I would think you'd have to be on a screen showing a phone number, and then put it to your face. Why would you do that unless you've already dialed? And if you have, it shouldn't do anything like that due to the proximity sensor.
Well, it did have proximity issues when first released. But it seemed like they were fixed quickly in the 1st or 2nd OS update, that was many moons ago.
Yay a white iPhone of the current model that is almost a year late from its original launch.

Maybe Apple can borrow Verizon's clock ad for their iPhone announcement. Seems to fit, as both were very long waits!

but not from a business point of view. there are some countries that iphone are only just entering the market now, like korea. also the device will sell just because its white, and the model is older now so plans can be had cheaper.
i can get one on a plan today and put $0 zero down as apposed to an iphone 5 later this year for $199. - its the biggest selling smart phone and makes up half of Apple's profit.
Just like March 20th in Miami is "Winter". The four seasons as you know them are archaic and only apply to the suns positioning in relation to the earth. Summer for most everyone, at least in the US, ends at Labor Day.
I'm sorry, has the US moved to a different planet, now? What else would "seasons" refer to other than the earth's positioning in relation to the sun?
