Preparing For Shipment status at Apple

White/32gb is still "preparing for shipment."

As much as I need the instant gratification and have a slight worry that other people can already track theirs, the fact that they all say "Delivers Oct. 14th" is keeping me sane, as it should for everyone else in my position!

Anyone else just think the 32gb models are the last ones to get shipped? Mine hasn't shipped and it seems like they were the last ones to get the "preparing for shipment" status as well.

I'm starting to feel that way as well. Oh well, a week from now, when we all have our phones in hand, this thread will sink to the bottom

Order number with last 2 left off works on UPS site for me. Ordered from Apple.com around 6:00AM EST on Friday.

I just spoke with Apple since I was getting nervous all these other phones are showing as shipped . I was told there was nothing showing as a problem and it seems my phone 64g black is actually shipping from US. I also show standard shipping, but I was assured when it actually ships it will be expedited.
I was also told that if there are any problems regarding your ship date, apple will email you.

Yeah, my wife's 16GB White shipped, but my black 32GB did not ship yet. Also, hers had preparing for shipment before mine, exactly as you described. And I ordered my 32GB Black before hers.

Apple took over 33 hours to send me the Shipped email after the phone entered the UPS system. Mine is on a plane headed for Alaska and should be there soon...

idk i ordered mine like 9pm on launch because I had initially ordered from Verizon but cancelled mine b/c I wanted Applecare+ maybe I won't be in the first batch now even though it still says the 14th..

Any Canadians have their status "Preparing for Shipment"?

I think it's odd that I pre-ordered at 3:44am (when pre-orders finally came online) yet there are a ton of people whose orders have already shipped before mine! Are they not processing in sequence, sorted by time of order?

Anyone have a 64gb white ship?

I also pre ordered a 64gb white as soon as the store was up to canada and its still processing ...

Their status page is updating very slowly. Look at the people to have "preparing for shipment", yet their orders have already been shipped. If it says you will have it on the 14th, I wouldn't worry too much. I ordered mine at 7am Mountain Time from Apple and it didn't switch to preparing for shipment until yesterday morning. Apple will notify you if there is a problem or delay.

see a lot of UPS tracking no.'s. Is this from AT&T and Verizon customers? Apple typically uses FEDEX when ordering from apple.com.

I ordered mine from Apple (the Apple store app on my iPhone 3GS) at about 6:30 am on Friday with no problems, and I got a shipment email this morning. It shipped via UPS and is currently in Hong Kong. Glad I should be getting it on Friday as I leave Saturday morning on vacation and won't be back for a week!

So is this saying you can sign for your phone in advance and they will leave it at your house? I would LOVE that as I am freaking out about it arriving while i'm at work and not being able to get to the UPS warehouse before they close on Friday. I'd hate to wait until Monday with having the whole weekend off

UPS. I assume if you fill out the signature form at either Apple or UPS itself they will leave it, but I have not tired it.

I placed my order at 5:43am EST and my order is "preparing for shipment," so you should be close to a status update. For what its worth
