iPhone 13 Pro Max Preparing to ship!!

I thought this happened in previous years that there was plenty of iPhones already state side, but then many people still got early shipping status because it’s coming direct from the factory.
 
I’m sure this has been asked and answered in the past. But do orders ship slower from mobile phone carriers as opposed to ordering from Apple? Or do they all really ship from the same Apple distribution process? Right now my order from a cellular service indicates shipping by Sept. 23rd.

For the last couple of years i have been ordering through ATT. Ordered at 8:20am and checkd out at 8:28. For the last two years i got my phone on launch day, early In the morning. No signature required.
 
Same here 13P Gold, order directly from apple preparing to ship. Knowing apple all these years we will be very lucky if we get them before Friday.
 
256 Red iPhone 13 is prepping for shipment while 1tb blue pro max is in preparing your order still. Both have a delivery date of the 24th but I’m getting a little worried.
 
Now I’m in a panic. Mine still says processing. My other two phones say preparing to ship but my iPhone 13 pro max is still in limbo and I ordered that one first. I already got the email from citizens one that I was approved and they charged me but nothing is moving.
Should I worry? I got the email at 8:03 am thanking me for my order saying it will deliver on the 24th

It hasn't happened in any significant number since iPhone 4. That launch was the last when the iPhone was ATT only and Apple authorized a certain amount to be delivered one day early - this was to help manage the activation activity for ATT on launch day.

Yeap. No one is going to have this phone before Friday.

All the influencers/reviewers/press that are authorized to receive the phone, don’t need to even make a preorder. So, I can’t understand why people say that.

We start to see "preparing to ship" cause planes already left the China HQ to start moving across Korea, Alaska, etc, etc, in order to arrive to the States.

I was pinging Apple with the mobile app on my phone and my iPad and when the store wasn't coming up, I figured I'd try Safari on my laptop. I did have a momentary glitch with Apple Pay, but I tried it again and it went through the second time.
