Problem Solved: New MB & MBP "Glassy" screens

Obviously this may be costly (so ignore that for a sec), but would it be possible to swap in a replacement LCD panel with a matte finish? Or is there something Apple has done special for their displays.

I don't see how tape on the BORDER stops the SCREEN from being reflective.

You'd have to do a major hack job to get this to work, because the whole front of the computer lid is integrated into the glassy/glossy LED display cover. It might be doable, but you'd have to also engineer/make a solution for the border around the screen.
