You guys ever think the kind of phone you have will impress the ladies? You know wearing it on your holster on belt. Flaunting it a little bit might be just enough to land a girlfriend or even better a wife? Think about it

If I were said lady. I would walk fast away as soon as I saw you actually had your phone in a holster on you belt.

been using iPhone since the 3G days but i am honestly thinking about getting the upcoming Galaxy Note 7. I have a galaxy from work and Android isnt as bad as people make it out to be on here at all.

reason for me to switch is simply due to the fact that i am not gonna buy the "same" design again and iOS 10 looks ugly (my opinion so zip it). also its time to try something different.

and of course NO FREAKING BEZEL
I've also used iPhones since the 3G days and I would love to get a Samsung device but in the US it's such crap compared to the international version. Carrier bloatware is ridiculous and the processor isn't as good. I could get the international version but then I would have to give up a warranty (because that makes sense when you're spending $600+ on a device) and then there's no wifi calling, VoLTE or Samsung pay.

I'm hoping Samsung will eventually take the approach of Apple and nexus devices, offering an unlocked version that can work on all US carriers that gets the exynos processor and no carrier bloat ware.

EDIT: it appears Samsung is now offering a S7 in the US that is unlocked and supports all carriers. Definitely more enticing and I may look into purchasing one of these.

If a lady is impressed by your iPhone, I'd argue she's not really wife material!

My was was impressed by my phone, only because shes a bigger geek than me and wanted to know which SNES Emulator I was running to play Super Mario World the rest was love.

This is my wife's current phone.

It was my phone circa 2002 I guess. I offer to get her a new one but she prefers having a phone she doesn't have to worry about.

doubtful the carrier still supports it is it even 3G ?

I have GSM back ups and my Sat Phone just in case a national emergency hits but I am shocked a 2002 model is even supported.

I respect everyone replies, but my gut feeling just screams this is the year to skip.

I really look forward to the iPhone Pro with OLED display and an actual redesign.

Can't say that my iPad Pro 9.7 crushes any tablet on the market. And ironically my Samsung Note 5 crushes any smartphone on the market. It gets service and reception the 6s just can not. And the 5.7 OLED 1440p display well. Let's just say Apple will get their version next year made by Samsung who they contracted with to make OLED displays.
I want to skip as well but I don't know if I will be able to lol. I just REALLY want an OLED panel. My brother's Galaxy S6 Edge's screen leaves me in awe, returning to my iPhone 6 afterward, the screen looks terrible. It's just the contrast that I think is really nuts. I'm not a fan of exploding colors by any means but it's the truly black blacks that simply makes everything look magical.

Did you just compare your iPad Pro 9.7 to the Note 5? Why? I would say the iPP 9.7 crushes any tablet on the market. Android device manufacturers are really weak in the tablet area in my opinion. They focus on phones. The play store has a terrible selection of apps for tablets from what I've heard.

The iPhone 6S/6S Plus and the Note 5 both crush every phone together. It simply is a matter of OS preference. The display quality of the Note 5 is arguably better as well as the antenna (but it usually won't affect day to day use unless you're in an extremely fringe service area) but both are fantastic devices. I personally would take a 6S Plus over a Note 5 any day, but that's because I absolutely despise android. Ive tried it time and time again and I just hate it.

This thread is really funny. No one has ever been impressed with my new phone or iPad, except maybe me. Seriously, it's pretty sad if one feels the need to flaunt a phone. Believe me, I'm always up for the latest gadget but never to show off to anyone else.

Sorry I miss spoke about the 9.7 Pro Tablet. The truth is the 9.7 iPad Pro does crush everything out there and an expensive tablet is a worth while investment that Apple will support for many years and has great service and will provide many updates while Android tablets are lucky to ever get 1 update if any. While unlike a phone people tend to keep Tablets for many years. And Apple is the best for that. In terms of phones Well the Note 5 and its OLED display is simply the best you can buy. 5.7 inches 1440p I do go for the 7 Edge curved side. and smaller 5.5 OLED delivers the best Display period.

Who buys a phone to flaunt it? Wealthier people that I know...don't flaunt phones. They flaunt things like Ferraris, boats, and multi million dollar houses. And the REALLY wealthy people...they have the older phones and older cars and no one has a clue they are wealthy.

I buy a phone for me...and not to impress others...

Losing headphone jack and replacing it with earbuds or adapter? Hardly an issue at all.

If it's

Duel camera
Waterproof
Added 3D Touch features
Better battery life
Faster

And who else what they add to it...you can't say people shouldn't upgrade till we know what's included

Black colour would be just as noticeable as the new rose gold. For the average customer rose gold wasn't that noticeable only for tech people really knew the difference

Lighting adapter for earbuds is fine until you want to listen to music and charge your phone.

Yeah I really hope they have an adapter that is nice and simple, just one little "brick" that has a 3.5mm headphone jack AND another lightning port, so you can charge and listen simultaneously...

why was the Rose Gold 6s the best selling ever because you could flaunt it. It's a social filter hey look at me new cool iPhone showing off even at the Apple Store. I'll stop there.

From all looks at the iPhone 7 coming unless you look up close no one can tell. Even if it's all black it looks just like anyother All black phone out there.

It's gonna be thinner really is that necessary ?

Unless people with an iPhone 6 or 6s like losing a feature they have no reason to update their devices.

So despite several enhancements the iPhone 7 Achilles heel is that you can't flaunt it.

In case you are wondering the Lightning port audio is confirmed by recent leaks and Apple liquidating all it's Wired BEATS headphones last month $300 down to $149 $200 down to $80 even $50 in some stores. And heck you can already buy Lightning port headphones at Apple.com from other vendors.
Well, then we'll start checking the backs of phones.

Cause you KNOW... people can still look at the back of that phone. It's gotten to that.

The only way the iPhone 7 wouldn't sell is if it was cheap. Remember the iPhone 5c? Apple most certainly swept that one under the rug.

But! None the less! This iPhone 7 will remain a status symbol! NONE! THE! LESS!

Because people have to have that. As long as it's expensive I don't care but I have to have something that I can find, that I can use to project my superiority over all the lessors

Now everybody line up!

Like I said in a previous post, the iPhone is no longer a status symbol IMO. The damn thing can be bought at Wal-Mart for crying out loud. Even the hole in the wall cricket stores sell the iPhone. This isn't 2007 anymore, where the elusive iPhone was only able to be bought via AT&T or Apple...and all other non AT&T people had to go without. Flaunting an iPhone, especially in 2016, is just so...ugh
