I like the white better. Why are there so many whiners going on about wanting the face to be black? If you don't like the white front, don't buy a Product Red iPhone.

If Apple create Black and White front then people complain that is should be Red front.

Doesn't matter if if looks good, it looks un-Apple like.

What I mean is, it's fine if you want to do this and own this but it's crazy to think Apple would have actually done this themselves.

I don't think it looks "Un-Apple like".
It follows their own design language, and they have does stuff like that before.

But it doesn't follow (Product)RED branding which is red and white.

Can't rehash old kit and pass it off as new in an attempt to distract from the fact there's nothing for another year but still charge you more anyway cos you're buying the name not the product anymore .... my ass!
Was this old kit passed off as new?

I don't think it's "Crazy" for Apple to make a black bezel pairing with the Product Red iPhone. However, I was not shocked when Apple chose to use the white bezel. But It's a possibility the white bezel was used with the Product Red iPhone from having more parts remaining from the silver iPhone, being its allegedly less popular or extra stock of that specific part.
IMHO it's because of the Chinese market that will like the red phone a lot - but for some reason white fronts are largely preferred over the black ones here. Even second hand silver or gold iPhones sell for higher prices than black/spacegray ones... go figure :)

Its a strange one, I can see why some don't like the red & white combo, but I like it - I think its very striking and i'm sure Apple tried both. Having seen the red & black combo now I think it makes absolute sense why Apple didn't go for it.

This proves Apple know more about design than many people on this forum.
not really. This shows apple knows which color scheme would sell more. Doesn't make one better than the other. Lots of people would prefer red and black including me. The majority would prefer white thats why apple did it...

I was so disappointed when Apple released the red phone with a white bezel. I think tbis looks so much better. Wish I could buy it this way though.

anyone know what keyboard that is in the promo shot? maybe have a link? Thank you in advance.
that is the first thing i noticed too! if you look at the image closely, you can see two things: it's an apple keyboard (it has the eject button and volume button in the right spots), and on the right one you can almost read a brand "???VEMADE".

a bit of googling for apple keyboard wood tray, and i found the "GROVEMADE, Walnut Keyboard Tray", for 99$. still not sure what keyboard Danny is using.

I'm more curious to see what they could have made with the other parts, a Jet Black iphone with a White face. A storm trooper iphone.

This looks fantastic. So classy and clean. The white was a shock and surprise when I saw this. Makes no sense with the dark red that Apple otherwise wisely chose.

Been literally wishing for this colour combination for years (metallic red with black).

Hoping they're just holding out for the iPhone 8 to "do it right" – ie: a marketing technique to keep us wanting more until they finally give it to us. Apple evil/genius at its best :)

Exactly my point. When they went to a group of rock stars and decided to make an iPod that looked like them and not like ANYTHING Apple had previously made, that's what they went with.
If I remember correctly, didn't that model sell extremely well? Heck, there was one a few years ago that sold in-box for $90,000! I remember in early college that it was the coolest iPod you could get and people were super jealous if you had one. I see nothing wrong with the front design, but the back is overly busy and annoying. Apple wouldn't do that again with the back.

We didn't but some might have bought one with the black front.

Six of one I guess as those buying the iPhone Red preferred the white front or did not care.
